You can't punish a challenge on the basis of the injury sustained.
Unless of course Dale Stephens fouls Gaston Ramirez.

Good post Barnsy, I agree with all those pointsHowson's goal attempt against Reading was given offside, had it been allowed our decent start to the season would have been even better. Shoulders were shrugged, we had to move on.
Had something similar happened to Liverpool, the pundits would have been all over it, replay after replay, VAR this, VAR that etc. There would have been a sense of outrage across the media. I dare say it would have featured on this board.
Let's not worry too much about Liverpool's concerns, let's hope the player gets fit asap, perhaps if he had still been playing for Southampton it would already have been forgotten.

I said the exact same thing in another post, VAR is the worst ever 'new' thing that's been brought in to 'improve' footballVery good post, and your definitely right the media are disproportionately interested in the big clubs. However the big issue all of this has raised for me is just how comically bad VAR is, and how unbelievably arrogant the people who run it are.
In my opinion it's the worst thing to happen to football as a spectator sport in its history.
I'm basically not very keen on it...
