Liverpool and Klopp beaten

Don’t really want any of the 3 to win to be honest. There’s something about Arteta and the way him and players behave that annoys me.
City just always win.
Liverpool based on how they play id prefer them but their fans can be a tad annoying.

And how much have City spent on building this team.
And they probably have cheated or bent the rules.

They've spent considerably less than Chelsea and Man Utd.

State run, billion pound squad Manchester City defy all the odds to win 4th title in a row.

What a thrilling competitive sport we have.

I point between the top 3. In France, Germany, Spain and Italy it's already completely over, zero title race.
In England it's still completely all to play for. We do have a thrilling, thriving competitive sport in England. Though it's not fashionable to say it.

And soon to by 4 years in a row for Man City. It will likely be the same next season. The only hope of true competition is Guardiola ******* off soon, and Man City struggling to replace him.

Long way to go this year. It'll go down to the wire whatever happens. I'm desperately hoping it's not Citeh again, but suspect it probably will be now.

Thoroughly deserved for Villa. Arsenal not turned up

Rogers very good again for Villa. Looking at their forum, people saying can't believe he only cost £8 million...🤦
Hopefully him playing regularly and them looking likely for the Champions League means we'll get most of them add ons!

A Northern team almost always wins the league.

There have been 85 English top flight seasons won by a team from the North in the 143 seasons of English football.

There have only been 24 from the South.

If you restrict it to the Premier League, 22 of the 31 seasons have been won by a Northern team.
Doesnt invalidate your principal point, in fact reinforces it, but the 143 number is a bit suspect. That’s the number of times the FA Cup has been played. If you are looking at league title wins, you probably want the number of times there has been a league to win, which is 126 I think.

A tenner this weekend on;

Blackburn to win away at Leeds 8/1
Plymouth to beat Leicester 6/1
Palace to win away at Liverpool 14/1
Villa to win away at Arsenal 10/1

A £10 acca returns £103,950

Btw how's the FA'S enquiry into Manchester City going ? How many titles are they going to win before its sorted out?????

Whilst Everton and Forest get points deducted!!!!! A farce really.

Not really is it, City’s allegations are very different to breaches of P&S that both Forst and Everton faced

i have no idea how much any of them have spent, but i assume that Liverpool and Arsenal have spent nothing, whilst City have spent 100 billion pounds

What’s is often forgotten is that the likes of Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal where spending fortunes (relative to the year season) to get ahead. City needed to spend to catch up, as did Chelsea (at least first time) to catch up and what Newcastle are been stopped from doing.

Otherwise you get a flash in the pan, Leicester, Blackburn, Everton etc who have all flirted at top and dropped away

Out of interest why the hate for Liverpool? Been to Anfield many times following the Boro and always been a good away game. Yes Klopp can say some strange things in interviews but he’s done a great job and brought through some brilliant youth players. Would much prefer Liverpool over say an Arsenal.

For me it’s a number of things;

1) the self entitlement of there fans. (Fans crying in crowd after game today)
2) number of plastic fans
3) the way they think world is against them
4) love in from media
5) try to convince world they not spent anything, whist have a £60m gk etc..
6) offended by everything and ashamed of nothing

List is not exhaustive…

Spot on!

I do think Scott got this wrong and a lot of our fans were saying so at the time (although probably just as many would've snapped their hands off for a fraction of £8m 🤦)

Villa fans think he's going to be pretty special. Early days yet of course.

Don’t forget he was a Man City reject within the last 12 months, as good as he was at times for the Boro if he was moving again within 6 months there was always going to be a ceiling on what we could get for him.

Well exactly. I think there was a strong case for not moving him on within 6 months for that reason.

Obviously there is a risk/reward calculation to make, it's not easy - there is no guarantee he'll ever be worth much more than we sold him for.

But I'd personally would have liked to keep him to find out. He was just finding his feet and I think there was every chance we'd have got at least as much for him, if not more, in the summer or even better, 18 months time.

But easy for me to say, it's not my money!
