Liam Gallagher at Knebworth

160 thousand people going to see Liam at a place that is a nightmare to get to says it all despite what the times say. The younguns are into the Oasis stuff now. My daughter said Liam was the best act of the weekend at Leeds fest last year and my son was at Knebworth tonight.

my son was there last night and whatever the failings ( if any) they had a great night , got there at 1pm for a 9pm Liam start .... maybe alchohol irons out the rough spots .... he sold 160k tickets for 2 nights, iconic ....

I went yesterday and had an amazing day reliving my 90s youth. Kasabian were excellent in support too. Great lively crowd. Nightmare getting off the site at the end mind, spent about 2 hours stationary in the coach park.

Was there yesterday as well. Our coach managed to escape after an hour and a bit. Kasabian were very good and Liam was superb. I've seen Oasis a few times and Liam solo a few as well. It was quite interesting to see that there were a lot of people around my age and older but also lots of teens/early 20s there, out of choice. Tells me that his music has a wide ranging audience, age wise. What was also good, as far as I'm concerned, was that the crowd reaction to his solo stuff was pretty much as enthusiastic as it was for the Oasis stuff. I'm absolutely knackered today, but it was worth it. The best that I saw Oasis was in Manchester in 2005 (didn't see them until 2000). Liam's form last night was as good as Oasis back then.

When fat Robbie Williams sold out Knebworth I knew it was all over because he is particularly talentless. I tell a lie, he is fantastically talented at looking for public sympathy.
There's always money in nostalgia and crowds having a mid-life crisis - even Led Zepp and Pink Floyd did all of that.
I like Liam Gallaghers attitude, I must admit, but I dont think he has been part of a decent recording for 30 years. John Squire was my hero for a good few years. I really idolised him. But then I realised what a pretentious, ungrateful tw.at he is.
The truth is: there really isnt much else about. Music is so luke-warm, lately

Music is also subjective. I've really liked Liam's solo work and even quite a lot of Beady Eye's. I was a massive Oasis fan. I've been watching Oasis/Liam on and off for over twenty years. Not really part of a mid-life crisis or even nostalgia (maybe a little). I just like what/who I like.

Sometimes you just have to admire when a legend walks on stage in front so many people. I'm talking about John Squire of course.
