He was joined by John Squire for Champagne Supernova last night.

Still can't decide whether playing there again was the right thing to do but it must have been an amazing experience for those in attendance.

Can't help but feel there was somebody missing though.

The brothers have moved on.
Are we looking back with rose-tinted specs at Oasis?
Love their sound, but until they decide to bury the hatchet we`ve just got to roll with it(y)

I'll have a read. I don't have an issue with him wanting to do the stadium gigs but for me Knebworth is sacred and a central part of the Oasis "story".

"When the dawn came up you felt so inspired to do it again, but it turns out you should only ever do it once".

Noel has moved on but not sure Liam has. I like Liam but lets be honest, his solo career wouldn't have taken off in the way it has if he hadn't have chosen to do Oasis songs in their original style. Noel still does Oasis songs but puts a different spin on them.

I agree. I was at the second of the two gigs at Knebworth in 1996 and it will live (with me) forever. (For you Roofie). Despite living within half hour of a Knebworth had no intention of going to see this. Saw Liam at Glastonbury in 2017 and was very underwhelmed
 
The Liam Gallagher documentary on Sky is really good for those interested. He comes across really well in it I think. Once you’re past all the ”Know what I mean” he’s a decent bloke it seems.

I seem to remember someone on here having dealings with Oasis in the past. Their opinion on the brothers is Liam was much more down to earth and easier to deal with. Liam these days says Noel just likes his celebrity friends!
 
I’m just waiting for Liam to join Macca for a ‘Lennon and McCartney’ duo at Glasto.
When I say ‘waiting’ I will be at another stage a long way away.

I know someone who is part of that Manchester music scene and he always said Liam was a nice bloke, down to earth, just a lad. Noel was always a bit arrogant and up himself, craved the celebrity lifestyle. While Liam was always happy to go back to Burnage to see his mam, see his mates, Noel thought he was above all of that.

I would rather saw my legs of with a rusty hacksaw blade than go to see Liam Gallagher, Kasabian, and Paolo Nutini(substitute Michael Kiwanuka on Saturday) the bill toppers. Would not have minded Amyl and The Sniffers but only if they were playing local and would have liked to have seen Goat Girl and Fat White Family on Saturday but once again would not travel too far to see them.
