Lewandowski as close to the perfect striker

Yep and I'd have Lewandowski over Kane every day of the week.

I guess you're one these England fans who think Gerd Muller wouldn't have cut it on a foggy

Lewandowski is undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the world and would score hatful's in the premier league.

However, the quality of the Bundesliga is nowhere near the Premier League, and that's not a little Englander view, I've seen enough German football on T.V and live to make that call.
I'd much rather go see a Bundesliga game though, safe standing, drinking in the stands and cheaper ticket prices.

Disagree but that's okay. Same as our league; take away the four top teams and the rest are much of a muchness. I've seen plenty of German football too, having done plenty of business there over the years and the quality on show has been immense.

If Lewandowski played in England he would score loads as he does for Bayern. Just look at Ibrahimovic. For years we said something similar about playing in an inferior league. He then rocked up an Man United in his mid 30's and was outstanding.

As for Kane. He'll end up England's top scorer (and could get as many as 70) and probably all time Premier League scorer too. He'll do it without ever playing for the very best team in the league (possibly) too. Kane and Manchester City would be unbelievable.

This may have been said as it's pretty obvious to me and that is Kane is the better all-rounder by some distance. Lewandowski is a great poacher and scores bucket loads in the box playing for the best teams where the service is there. If you put Lewandowski in City's team then he'll likely be top scorer in the prem. However, the same can be said for Kane but IMO he has a lot more to offer other than tap ins.

Wrong about Muller, he retired before I was born so wouldn’t have a clue.

No issues with anyone preferring Lewandowski to Kane.

But I’m surprised you think the Bundesliga is as as good as the premier league.

Looking at the last 20 years, English teams have appeared in the champions league final 13 times in comparison to 7 times for German teams.

Not only have prem teams played in more finals but the spread of teams is more in the prem with 6 (Utd, City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal) as opposed to 3 from the Bundesliga (Munich, Dortmund & Leverkusen).

The difference with UEFA cup finalists is even bigger, with the prem having 10 finalists and the Bundesliga having only 2, again over the last 20 years.

Again the spread of teams is better with the prem at 6 (Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Boro and Fulham) as opposed to only Dortmund and Werder Bremen for the Bundesliga.

I’d imagine most Germans would agree the premier league is significantly stronger than the Bundesliga.

Just have to keep disagreeing.

And my comment re Muller was in tandem with many English fans who think that other strikers wouldn't cut it in this league. I remember similar stories about Van Nistelrooy and Suarez, to name but two who played in a 'lesser' league and Platini who started out in France.

I even recall some talk about Messi and he wouldn't be able to stand out getting kicked left right and centre at Stoke. I pointed out that you'd have to get near him first.
