Let's be honest about that team selection

In Carricks defence I like that he's playing players in their long-term positions and filling in where relevant. Mcgree will be wide left this season, Forss' wide right.

Crooks and Rogers will be benched when we sign first teamers for those positions.
 
Because of our lack of pace. Teams get their defenses sort out to block our momentum. We do not have players that are capable of getting into the penalty area before the opposition get chance to block us...

We have a no 10 playing CF
A CF playing Right wing
And a CM / Tree playing number 10

Why?! It's painfully unbalanced

Immediately we have balance with the tools we have, we have pace and movement in their correct positions. If some random internet idiot (me) can see this, why did Carrick and the team not? The worrying thing is, he's had that top setup throughout pre-season.

But you have Barlaser in there and as shown on Saturday and last season he is rubbish. A liability dithering and giving the ball away far to often.

There are well documented reasons for his poor form last season and I was replying to Borokian who said he didn't understand why anyone would rate him. The reason people rate him is because of how he performed for the majority of the season before last.

I totally understand and empathise with his struggles, but even under wilder I think he had a good run then dropped off, very predictable player poor end product. Nowhere near good enough to make a real impact and get us challenging although I feel he might given he’s the number 11 shirt

you're allowed 9 players on the bench, it was no harm putting them there. If we'd managed to find ourselves comfortable going into the last few minutes he might have given them a run out.

There's be an argument to say only Rogers was out of position (although we don't really know his position yet).
Forss in his usual position for us
McGree in his usual position
Crooks in the position he played for Rotherham

Agree the balance didn't work though, but Jones hasn't performed for a longf time and Silvera has never played a single game at this level.
