Leo wants the job

Have we actually been speaking to the other rumoured candidates? I know we've spoken to Carrick but I don't think we've actually spoken to Rob Edwards yet have we, despite him being linked?

This is what's confusing me with regards to what the strategy is. I can understand in one way Gibson wanting to take his time and not rush into anything, but are we actually interviewing people?

The longer this goes on for the more likely I think it will be that it will be a team of Cattermole, Leo and Agnew.
It was reported we’d spoken to Edwards last we, almost as soon as Wilder was sacked. It’s been reported we’ve spoken to Corberan and Carrick, and Sky said we’re considering Dyche and Parker.

The bottom line is nobody outside of those directly involved has any idea what’s going on or who is or isn’t in the running. I’m struggling to get my head around why so many people are forming such strong opinions based on so little actual information.

Leo with Cattermole & Agnew as assistants until at least after the World Cup… Can see this a mile off
That is the stuff of F***ing nightmares

As I said before , the dinosaur chairman is taking us to league 1 if he does that

I don’t gove a **** if he’s passionate for the club . Passion doesn’t mean competence

I think if he doesn't get it he'll be off soon anyway, first decent offer he gets. He has got the taste for being in charge now and he won't be content to return to a more junior role.

Me too, its bordering on hysteria are times in response to a combination of rumour and guesswork.

Well that's the end of Leo then. Academy role now beckons New boss won't be having him in the wings with his track record for back stabbing.

Leo has to work with what his got so dont write him off just yet as he has alot of experience with the managers he has worked with he will get a result the weekend anyhow & ye will get behind him once he gets the job he will bring in his own team to work with he loves the club & will do the right thing.

I must have missed this. If that's the case then it would be reassuring to think that we still intend on speaking to a few other candidates before we decide on who to offer the job to.

I mean if Leo comes up with the good results wise.. then surely he deserves to stay on?

All this stuff about nightmare scenarios, typical gibson, not good enough, dreadful, giving up on football, that’s the end, terminal decline, worst ever.. etc etc etc

Wilder was fcuking *****!! Nobody knows how good or bad Leo is.. nobody knows how good Lee Cattermole is!

How some relative unknown with hardly any experience will do better than coaches we already have.. I don’t know?!?!

I know the squad isn’t as good as we’d like and I don’t get to every game but I was at Millwall, other than the first half against QPR, this season, I don’t remember a worse performance and I’ve been going since 86. Leo didn’t have a clue how to get a tune out of them.

We need a tactically astute manager and some players with legs in January. Otherwise we’ll go down.

I mean.. he has been put in temporary charge.. he's won one home game and lost one away game. He represents a third of our wins all season and is currently averaging 1.5 points per game. Chris Wilder was under 1 point per game.

If he carries on this average to the end of the season.. we will finish on around 62 points. Over 50% improvement on Wilder.. which is impressive in itself, but not enough unfortunately to make it to the playoffs.

After the Norwich game we would have been expected to be on 18 to 20 points with Wilder 25 games after that

If Leo has us near 26 points after the Norwich game we will have seen a marked significant improvement. 31 points puts us back on track for the playoffs

After the Norwich Game we have 25 games left of the season

18-20 Points - EMERGENCY BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES 17th to 24th
21-25 Points - FINISHING OUTSIDE OF THE PLAYOFFS IMO 7th to 16th
26-31 Points - THE PLAYOFFS ARE MOST DEFINITLY STILL ON! 5th or 6th
32+ Points - GET YOUR HOTELS BOOKED.. COS WE'RE GOING UP 3rd or 4th
Seriously we best Birmingham at home yes BIRMINGHAM ffs.

I’d love it if Leo could lead us into the Premier League but we beat Birmingham with new manager bounce and we were abject at Millwall. I hope Leo is part of the club for the rest of his life but if he was going to be a successful manager he’d have done it by now.
