Leo wants the job

Not saying he should get the job, however if you look at experience of coaching at different levels Leo’s CV is far more impressive than other candidates that have been mentioned. If he is offered the job, even short term I’ll support him but as with any other manager/coach he’ll stand or fall by his decisions. I hope it’s the former.

Sorry Leo, but you are not the man. Hope you stick around though as you are loved.
I mean.. he has been put in temporary charge.. he's won one home game and lost one away game. He represents a third of our wins all season and is currently averaging 1.5 points per game. Chris Wilder was under 1 point per game.

If he carries on this average to the end of the season.. we will finish on around 62 points. Over 50% improvement on Wilder.. which is impressive in itself, but not enough unfortunately to make it to the playoffs.

After the Norwich game we would have been expected to be on 18 to 20 points with Wilder 25 games after that

If Leo has us near 26 points after the Norwich game we will have seen a marked significant improvement. 31 points puts us back on track for the playoffs

After the Norwich Game we have 25 games left of the season

18-20 Points - EMERGENCY BATTEN DOWN THE HATCHES 17th to 24th
21-25 Points - FINISHING OUTSIDE OF THE PLAYOFFS IMO 7th to 16th
26-31 Points - THE PLAYOFFS ARE MOST DEFINITLY STILL ON! 5th or 6th
32+ Points - GET YOUR HOTELS BOOKED.. COS WE'RE GOING UP 3rd or 4th

I'm glad he's saying he wants it.

If he said 'I don't want it', what type of message does that send?

Of course he won't get it, but I'm glad he wants it and has his heart in the club.

Top man Leo, and I hope whatever happens, he stays with us because his presence around the place is just priceless, however he's not the right man to lead us.

It would just be typical Gibbo, trying to do it on the cheap, see Southgate, Woodgate and Agnew

This appointment has to be right, otherwise we’re in the brown stuff…
I fully agree but if it happens we might as well get behind him until it actually isn’t working. That’s the interesting thing about football and the Championship in particular, sometimes you just don’t know it will all work out.

I've been holding off with the revised 'nerdy graph relegation battle special'. Let's just get above that 50 points line, eh?

Have we actually been speaking to the other rumoured candidates? I know we've spoken to Carrick but I don't think we've actually spoken to Rob Edwards yet have we, despite him being linked?

This is what's confusing me with regards to what the strategy is. I can understand in one way Gibson wanting to take his time and not rush into anything, but are we actually interviewing people?

The longer this goes on for the more likely I think it will be that it will be a team of Cattermole, Leo and Agnew.

He is no less proven than some. His hands are tied with regards to changing things as he probably thought he’s only here for a couple of weeks and he is trying to keep morale up. If he wants to showcase his stuff then I would expect to see something more radical like a formation change and a bit more bite. Wouldn’t be my first choice. Yet.
