Leeds and Liverpool fans in meltdown

Fully understand the outrage that both clubs would feel, but Leeds are only 7 points clear with 27 left to play for.

They've not guaranteed promotion, and it wouldn't be fair in a sporting sense to send them up with 1/5th of the season left.
They've got a very easy last 9 games, so they almost certainly would have guaranteed it, but you can't assume these things.
 
We are not in Leeds position though, I don't hate any football club, but this is fantastic stuff, Liverpool and Leeds in the black stuff, and Newcastle in the cancelled FA Cup, Carsberg , this is the if only.

You don't hate any football club, but this is fantastic stuff. More holes in that argument than our defence of late.
 
If this goes beyond April 3rd then I do think they should void the season but I also think Liverpool should be given the title.
 
Considering some of the silly suggestions being banded about, the fans of Liverpool, Leeds Villa etc have every right to be concerned.

But would Liverpool accept the title really, the season hasn't finished, after the wait for winning the top league, 1st division / PL, surely they would only accept the trophy after winning a game to be officially crowned as champions, not they will have anyway

The great problem is the players' contracts ending for some before the games could be played.
Look at Boro. We would probably have to play without Ayala and Gestede. So not much change there then. 😛

Yes but most clubs are going to be in the same boat. Most players won’t be able to get a contract because who will sign them up with no income?

I don’t think you can do it. I think you have to finish the fixtures to complete the season. You can’t just stop at a moment in time. I’m sure Liverpool themselves (the club not the fans) would only want to win it ‘properly’.
 
Ideal situation is they let the pools panel decide the results. They announce them at five every sat. Liverpool lose all their remaining matches, city win them all.
 
There is no ideal solution, that's the way it is.

So we have to choose the least worst solution.

Simple - play behind closed doors.

Boring yes, but problem solved.

I’ve been reading this thread and can’t believe how wound up you are getting regarding the silly suggestions being made about something that no fan can control. 🤣🤣
 
It would be typical for westham yo be saved if the season was som how canceled . It would actually be more fare to cancel next season and complete this one when ready .

Leeds are still capable of finishing in a playoff position so nothings garranteed for them
 
Just play the games behind closed doors. Televise as normal. Refund tickets for those games (or give free access to televised games). Ban all games being televised in pubs with appropriate compensation on licence fees. It is the only fair way of doing it.
