Man Utd ready to cash in on Garner​

Manchester United have reportedly decided to sell midfielder James Garner in this transfer window.
Reports from The Athletic and the Manchester Evening News claim the academy product, who spent last season on loan at Nottingham Forest, is valued at £15m-£20m.
United are yet to sign a central midfielder this summer.
Forest and United are interested, according to the MEN.

Agree, I’d love a ball winner but I think Mowatt will definitely add a bit more physical presence than McGree. Looks a bit more solid.
 
We just lack pace and a bit of a physical b*stard in the MF.
Seen Watford a couple of times this season and their midfield will swamp us. WBA did second half. Hopefully Mowatt will help us, but speed definitely isn't his greatest asset.
Definitely need another CM brought in, think everyone knows that.

They really are in a mess if they are interested in buying their own player.
 
If we get 4 people in who are you dropping from the bench if you’re only allowed 7. The match on sunday we had: : Hackney, Hoppe, Smith, Mowatt, Watmore, Roberts, Bola. You would have to drop 4 players from that list. I hardly think most of them especially the likes of Hoppe are going to be happy with no even being on the bench

I personally only see one more striker coming in. If he’s now happy with Akpom, i don’t think its neccessary to get 2 more

So, for all the reasons mentioned, why did the club put him up for interview? Especially with that interviewer, who actually seems to ask the right questions (local press take note)! There’s two sides to every story. Maybe they finally realise they can’t keep him and are trying to justify the sale with the fans by making Larsen look like the bad guy. Expect Groningen to issue something now like … “We did everything to keep him but every player has his price. Look at Liverpool with Sadio Mane”.
