Labour poll 3 point lead

They should be further ahead if they were a decent opposition.

I think that's a bit harsh: it's more than a 14 point swing in 9 months, and in fairness Starmer has only been in charge for about half that time.
I'd also think the swing hasn't ended yet; expect to see Labour pull further ahead in the net few months.
Pity there isn't an election really....

Of course not WeeGord..
But if you add Those that have Big Pharma interests
and those who have Child sniffing inclinations
The numbers could easily be higher..

What can the tories do to turn it around.

some damage Johnson is doing
Its horrific to thank that after all the corruption, all the lies, all the propaganda and all the deaths that the Tories are still so close in the polls. Absolutely terrifying so many in this country wish their lives to be controlled by people who only care about getting money for their mates. Its crazy

Yeah I probably have been a bit harsh. Are these polls conducted monthly? If so the next one will be interesting.

It always goes in cycles, Labour do very well considering the media propaganda machine always supports the Tories.

I think Johnson has been a surprise disaster for the Tories which has allowed Starmer to close the gap very quickly, even the Brexiters must be amazed at just how bad he is.

The Tories will regroup and change their leader ready for the next election but with what is happening just now I can see a Labour landslide if Starmer stays sensible and keeps sensible people around him.

Not much to chose between the two parties at the moment unless Starmer gets in then suddenly moves left. At the moment he’s moved too far right for my liking, or most other Labour members. I don’t want a Blair MK11 government that’s just a bit paler blue than the Tories

As I’ve said before, we have no leaders of any political persuasion, they are all intellectually clever but cannot lead a party let alone a country.
It’s clear Johnson has no real interest in the role after his illness and new baby and probably can’t wait to go back into journalism.
Starmer is just floating along on his phorensic media reputation without ever actually having any sort of plan or proposal. Let’s not forget he wasn’t actually great at running the CPS and was very quiet during his tenure in the Shadow Cabinet.
As for the Lib Dems , least said the better.
Oh, and the Scottish woman hasn’t actually done very well when you consider her population is not much bigger than large Northern cities without the density of population.

You have to accept that the only way Labour can win an election is by having a moderate leader, so if you do want to win then it’s only a Starmer type leader which will be able to do it.

Remind me again...when is the next general election scheduled.?
I think its highly unlikely that a) it will be held any sooner than it’s scheduled to be.
b)Boris will be long gone by then anyway through resignation or most probably scandal.

Boris won’t be involved I’m sure of that.
He’s achieved his aim in life.

I couldn’t bring myself to vote for any party atm tbh, I can’t stand any of them. This pandemic has shown me I just need to take care of myself and my own more than anything else.
Sad to say over the years I am gradually coming to the same conclusion. And to think where I started off with my idealistic state of optimism 40 odd years ago.
At best I reckon I got 10 years left. Why spend that time worrying about how the country and the world is getting more and more fukced up every day

As a long suffering Labourite I certainly wont be returning with that idiot Starmer
in charge of the Party
