Kieran Scott window review

Definitely interesting,

I’d say the physio side of things should be a top priority at the club. I think keeping players fit will be the decider of promotion or not the season.

It's great to see someone who communicates with the fans from upstairs. He has been a breath of fresh air. Before him the decision making in the club was terrible at times from gibson.in Gibson financial wise can't fault him but in some of the decisions he was making and his communication wasn't so good.Scott comes in turns the recruitment system round and brings in players that are putting us in a positive financial position for the future in terms of how much these bargain signings are now worth and he keeps on delivering he is the difference along with an up and coming manager.

Very interesting to see what he means about improving the off field stuff. I'm guessing maybe some of the coaching, physio side of things.
the changing room has changed, we've got a new physio.. training pitches have been ripped up and replaced.. Carrick's brother's been brought in.. somewhere.

All the boxes are ticked now.Good stadium, facilities, fan backing, good backing from the chairman and brilliant director of football who is making the best decisions on his behalf, good youth set up, good coaching staff , recruitment and players, players with potential to make a decent financial return for the future. With all this we have to be prepared for promotion.

Ben Doak looks like the icing on the cake. Only a brief appearance for Scotland vs Poland but he looks like an exhilarating player.

Gotta love Kieran’s candidness! Still have an inkling to hear if he’s attained any club option to buy clauses on the loan deals. Had heard that he wanted to make it part of the loan-in process.

Doak is very highly regarded so I would have thought not
Everybody has a price and yes Doak will likely be out of our reach. Best to get a price established up front now though before he excels like Archer’s value soared during his tenure with us.
Plus we could always exercise, sell on and make a profit should he be out of our domain.

He's got a lot of competition at Liverpool for the forward positions and they've already sold a few young players, so not out of the question they would be prepared to sell, especially for a big fee. However, let's see how he does first before crossing that bridge.

Worst case scenario is that Doak has a fantastic season with us, helps us achieve promotion, and in doing so sets himself up for the Liverpool first team, or a top half Premier League team transfer, yet again putting us up in lights as a club up and coming footballers can flourish at. Thinking about it, I guess worst case would be that he's not very good, and sent back to Liverpool by Christmas.

Can't praise Scott enough for the work he's done at the club. He's signed some fantastic players and hopefully will continue to do so. He seems like a very professional and driven individual. Interviews like this also allow the fans to feel more connected to the club. I'm a big fan of the bloke, he always speaks very well and he's very honest. He's clearly a big fan of Carrick. The club is in good shape at the minute. That transfer window was our best in a long long time.

Yes, agreement to sign for an agreed fee, but only if we want to not a must sign. Let’s see how he does
Certainly no fee agreed. He’s out of contract in June mate. He’ll be coming on a free if he does well. Ie Ayling

Ah, cool, didn’t know that. that makes a lot of sense, we get to check their level out, and they get to check us out and risk free

I think that’s the plan bud. Makes a lot of sense, he’s only 27 too. So a few years left. If he does well and enjoys it it’s a done deal. Fingers crossed mate :)

I can’t remember a summer window like this since the good old days. Minimal outgoing, loads of incomings again. A lot of competition in every position, particularly in defence and in the wide positions, especially if we can get the injured players back in defence. If we can get everyone fit, expect some potential outgoing loans come January.

No doubt the club are going for promotion this season, that’s without doubt.

The squad is strong, very strong and it’s clear everyone within the clubs feels like we are well prepared to go for promotion this season. And looking at the squad, so do I.

Key players from last season inured DL, DF, TS, MF, AB all to come back. I love Forss and he’ll come back in at some point hopefully soon. I like Conway, always have, he’s athletic, strong, excellent movement, great on the ball and I’ll be astounded if he doesn’t hit 13+ for us.

I’m excited for what lies ahead. Well done Boro, a great summers business.
