Kate, Princess of Wales - not seen this year.

exactly, open debate is good, but Geoff wanted belittle others as being upset, red faced, crying etc. this despite it being a subject he had no interest or opinion in! Bizzare behaviour.

He's either a troll, trying to annoy people with alternate opinions to him, or lying about his support of the royals but too cowardly to debate like an adult on the subject. Either way he's dim and dull as f$*k. It's absolutely pointless trying to debate with a person who is only interested in being a troll or is intellectually dishonest with the subject, might as well block him I guess.

Funnily he pulled the same trick on the Trump thread, claimed he had no interest in who wins the presidential election....then just attacked Biden and ignored the psychological car crash that is Donald trump. It's beginning to look like he's a tory/brexit/trump/royalist anti-left culture war troll.

Oh yeah forgot to mention the only person out of the 2 of us I have seen with pro tory tendancies, belittling and disingenuous is yourself on the £19 for a childs ticket thread.

You absolutely bent over backwards to defend the club and justify the price despite almost every other posting stating otherwise, your first contribution was to make a belittling comment about how 12 year olds spend £19 charging ipads and iphones. Despite the cost being nowhere near that, you then tried to say cinemas cost more and using the cost of sweets, drinks at cinema prices to justify it, you were constantly pulled about that but kept going. You also failed to address when asked about 6/7/8 year olds, no iphones etc but ignored it. That's disingenuous debating

That is a tory attitude, rinsing kids at £19 for a ticket, something I was dead against and something you went out of the way to support in the face of overwhelming negativity about the pricing

Not a bad job to have if it isn’t real, highly paid too.

Commander in chief of the armed forces and apparently a pretty decent vehicle mechanic. Not bad for a fake job.

She probably worked more hours in her life than everyone in this thread.
Cic = pin meddles on soldiers and watch them march one day a year

Vehicle mechanic = 6 months work followed by about 80 years of being chauffeur driven to cut ribbons. I’m sure we’d all do that gig for 1% of what she got feel like we were ripping someone off financially

🤣

"Red face, sweat and of course clinched fist whenever the royal family is mentioned."

Amazing that you can see all that from behind your keyboard.

Unless you're you a clairvoyant?
Oh right you seem to have missed the assertions about me, unless your doing that deliberately of course, but I’m sure you would never do that 😉

I asked Boromart twice if he himself had a season ticket seeing as he was so vocal about the issue. He has so far failed to answer.

I never saw your question I’m afraid, I’ve had season tickets but not for many years…not that it’s anything to do with this debate, just more ad hominems…and I’d rather discuss the subject than the poster, but when someone refuses to debate adult like, I’ll give them the ad hominems back ten fold

If they were to over-ride the government it would most likely be if the government were to decide that the UK were to invade and declare a war on another country. I'd like to think that scenario will never become a reality in my lifetime, but it's reassuring to know that we have a head of state who possesses the power to do that.

Unfortunately, Russia didn't.

It’s not even possible. Far more of the UK Constitution is on a statutory basis than people realise, even if it’s not written in a single document. This is certainly true of most powers that amount formally to an exercise of the prerogative.

The prerogative powers associated with declaring and waging war have been on an entirely statutory footing for 60 years, being exercised by the Defence Council on the advice of the Secretary of State under the Defence (Transfer of Functions) Act 1964. It’s not even notionally the monarch anymore.

Trump is a problem because the people that have elected him, and want to again, are idiots but it is their choice as idiots to elect him. They can change their mind (and he's only able to be in charge for a maximum of 8 years anyway). If Trump was King he'd be in charge forever and then his kids would be next.
Trump has already stated that he thinks he should get a third term.

Trump Said He's "Entitled" to a Third Term

If he gets back in I'm pretty sure he'll do anything he can to make sure that comes true.

There are lots of things that Trump thinks or wants that aren't possible. But again, if the American people are stupid enough to want him to be President and they are stupid enough to allow him to change the rules to allow him to stay on for a 3rd (or indefinite) term then that is their own stupid fault but it is their choice.

Eh? Oway Quicksilvera you don't think she was doing peoples MOTs for them and then knocking out a couple of battle plans on an evening? Titles and hobbies aren't the same as jobs and work.
