Just reminding myself how good The Cult were.

I loved it too, until I met a fella called Philip Walker whose name alone hijacked it completely. 1st album still the best. Especially the accompanying Death Cult live album.

Ha! I've got that in my head now!! Yeah, agree. Billy Duffy can certainly play a geetar! Can't remember the name of the bassist but his playing always stood out for me. Wish I'd seen em live.

I saw them a couple of times, and yes Billy is indeed among the great rock guitarists. Ian Astbury used to be a very good frontman too, but bought into his own publicity a little too much. I might have to chase up that accompanying album on Spotify. After hunting some good food in the Boro tonight.

I'm very jealous. One of the bands I missed out on and always regretted it. Just looking at some of the clips on You Tube, they sound amazing live.

Good food and 'The Cult'... what more could you wish for?

Yeah, "Spiritwalker", "Resurrection Joe" and "Horse Nation" have stuck in my head for over 30 years.

Listened to them walking round town this evening. The 80s were alive again. Even though the town centre was much much quieter,

Haven't heard much of them tbh, saw Ian Astbury perform with Ray Manzarek and Robbie Kreiger at The Roundhouse in 2005 as Riders On The Storm and he was a great frontman doing Doors songs

Love, Electric and Sonic Temple were all excellent albums, and in my humble opinion Sonic Temple was their peak.

Saw them on this tour and they were superb live.

Think after this success they started to disappear up their own ars* somewhat and moved towards a lot more commercial rock......moving well away from their mid 80s "Love" era stuff.

Great band 1985-90 ish👍
