Looked very tired after Norwich

Poor excuse that mind given that Stoke played 24 hours after us in midweek.

Alex Neil has a decent team and always seem to get his tatics right against us. They seem to play better away from home and havr great record up here against us and the makems. Having said all that it infuriates me coaches won't make subs until 60 mins when its as clear as the nose on your face its not working.

Poor performance. We had a days rest on Stoke and only one change from Norwich, so I am not buying the injuries as McGree and Lenihan haven’t played for a few games. Hackney was a miss, but again one man should not affect things too much, too many were half hearted from the off. I though Josh tried hard, but came too deep or out wide too often, Crooksy was our best player.

They caused overloads on the flanks, Engel had little support tbf. Both goals were due to woeful defending. I think we were almost a little complacent and dwelt on the ball too long. Howson and Barlaser were so slow together first half especially. Lets hope it was just a bad day at the office, Stoke pressed and harried but were not great. Ah well, at least I don’t have to watch the EFL show later.

Bring on Exeter, we can’t play as bad again, it was worse than the first few games of the season. UTB.

Agree with most of this. The overload was caused a lot by Greenwood, lost count of how many times he came running back too late when he realised his man was long gone

I think key position that we are inferior to Stoke is full back.
In 4-2-3-1 formation often our wings don't come down quickly.
Our backs need to be able to deal with flank attacks well.
But Carrick tends to let the left back attack often, making this side's game more leaky than usual.
In last night's game his right back was in good form since the game with Leeds.
Makes our left side's game look even worse, along with Greenwood still needing to improve their defensive game.
Moreover, our right side game was not aggressive enough to put pressure on Stoke, making us look inferior overall.
All we can do now is give our backs and wingers have played more difficult games to gain experience, and recognize problems that may occur.
If we want promotion we may have to wait for our players to have more experience at a high level.

I saw the Norwich game and a number of other viewers made comments about it being a very tough game.

A game too far for Greenwood he was off the pace from the off.
