To be honest Watkins wouldn’t of got a kick I’m not fussed about him not getting in, but would of had Lingard or ward Prowse rather than Saka. Can’t see Saka getting a kick either if I’m honest

Its gonna be tricky to see how all 4 right backs will get game time though.
Suppose Kane or DCL get injured though, who is your backup in the 'striker' role? Rashford? He's not really a prolific #9.
Personally I wouldn't have taken 4 right backs but never mind. There's a lot of 'wingers/widemen' too.

I wouldn’t of either, but I would Definetly prefer Rashford up top than Watkins if push came to shove. Don’t think Watkins is good enough if I’m honest. Will be interesting to see what formation is used and how the squad is utilised

DCL is the back up if Kane gets injured. If they both are injured it's bad luck.
Can't see the need for so many right backs, all the same.

TAA in for wingback, James for RB, Trippier to cover both left and right FB/wingbacks, and of course Walker covers CB and RB and wingback.
They all bring something different and you could perceivably have 3 of them on the pitch at the same time....Trippier (LWB), TAA (RWB), Walker (RCB). Which means one RB on the bench which is right. This squad looks to me like he's lining up for a 343 formation as his preferred option.
Tough on Watkins, of course, but Kane and DCL as CFs. Then we have Rashford and Sterling able to cover, maybe even Foden as he has played a couple of games for City at CF. We only play with 1, so shouldn't be an issue.
Someone had to miss out, we've got 25 players that could put a good case for being in the squad.

Well exactly, I'd have rather had a third striker on the bench. One gets injured and then you have no backup on the bench other than wingers and a plethora of right back options.
We have 4 options at left back too!
I just think we've limited ourselves a bit by doing this.

Do we need Trippier to cover left back with Shaw, Chilwell and Saka also in the squad? At least one of these 4 right backs isn't going to spend a single minute on the pitch.

I don't think he would fancy Saka to cover LB in a 4, in fact I think Saka is really there for the experience of being around a squad without ever playing.
I would rather we took Saka for the experience of being in camp and then play him in future tournaments rather than take Watkins and watch him drop out next time. Watkins has a decent prem career ahead of him but falls short of England international standard for me.

Lingard had a good 3 months at West Ham, but who exactly do you drop to get him in an england team? He's not a CF and never will be, he's a 10...and we don't play that formation

He wouldn’t play a 4 though if shaw and chillwell were unavailable that’s the point it would be wing backs and Saka would be used. I will be extremely surprised if we are in a position where Shaw, Chilwell and Saka are all injured or suspended and we have to play Trippier left back.
