Josh Coburn staying

Carrick must of seen something in training, he now needs minutes though, hopefully in the 2nd half against QPR he can get some minutes.
I doubt it was Carricks choice to keep him. A loan had been agreed with Plymouth so the club must have been expecting to sign another striker.

Love the optimism
But, Carrick has been so impressed …..Josh was off to Plymouth earlier this week.

More to this than meets the eye, me thinks

Good, give the lad a chance. Pleased he’s staying, I like Coburn and think he has real potential.

When you look at the likes of Connelly or other stiffs in the loan market we've been scammed with then going with Josh makes so much [more] sense. So many plus points with Josh, such as he knows the training, squad setup and where he fits in. Moreover, he actually looks like he's interested and can play one or two options upfront. Any thinking he'll duplicate his goal scoring record from his time with Bristol Rovers?

Might just be the make up of incoming transfers suits Coburn staying here..

I like Josh, just wish he had a bit more pace. I’m sure he will improve by the way we play with quick passing movements, and hopefully he’ll get on the end of a few corners and/or set pieces.

I think we have looked at a few forwards and currently none are within what we consider to be good value, Cannon included, who we have made an offer for, but others have gone beyond it.

I wouldn't rule out a forward coming in tomorrow, but if it doesnt happen I expect we'll keep our poweder dry until January.

Maybe Hackney will tuck in at number 10 - with O’brien being “unexpected” we have the luxury of moving crooks and Rogers and or greenwood into the striker position too
