Josh Coburn staying

Yeah you’d think that’s the end of any interest in Cannon or whoever else now, can’t see us keeping Coburn for him to be 4th choice.

I was excited at the prospect of signing Tom Cannon but I'm more than happy to retain Coburn and give him a chance at this level. He'll offer a different skillset to Latte Lath, but it's good to have a different option at no 9.

Ideally we would have another CF on the books as well in case of injury, but I guess Crooks/Greenwood/Rogers can fill in there if the other two are both unavailable.

I think it's great news. I think he will get plenty of game time off the bench.

He can only improve being around better players and Carrick. I genuinely think he's an option that we don't have. His stature and style will be an asset.

Also his goals per game / mins is terrific. Why bring in some prem club U23 when we can actually develop our own. Hopefully we will see him off the bench now. The past couple of league games have been crying out for a different option. I presume he was held back due to a possible loan move.

Certainly a better option as a big No9 than Crooks.

Carrick must of seen something in training, he now needs minutes though, hopefully in the 2nd half against QPR he can get some minutes.

Good news I would say. I think he could score goals in this division and we also have Forss and Latte Lath who can play up top. Sometimes the solution is right under your nose, as we found out with Akpom and Hackney last year.
