Jones outstanding

Superb performance from Howson, absolutely unreal. Jones a very close 2nd but I'm splitting hairs here. Tav was great, Fry was great and bar an early error and all the stick he gets, Lumley had a great game and kept us in it with a number of great saves. Crooks should have nailed his header but also had a great game. In fact it would be unfair to slate anyone because that was a brilliant team effort and even if they only had a 7 rating game, they all played a massive part to get a win, and a thoroughly deserved one at that

Edit - remiss of me not to mention Coburn, what a strike. You dont stop them!

Edit 2 - And McNair, in fact I might as well list the entire squad because there was very little to pick fault with anyone who took to the pitch tonight

Jones wasn't getting in as much as he would do until the latter stages but he definitely made up for that through the game by backtracking and doing some brilliant tackles, this game more than any other made me think what a genuine top player he could be.

His energy levels are insane. He was quiet by his standards first half but by extra time he was running them ragged. His defensive work was brilliant too. Funny nobody mentioned spence tonight

What a player we have here.
I thought he was a little bit timid first half, didn't really go at his man. Needed to build up his confidence, that he can, and should get at his man. Maybe a little bit worried that it might be a level too far too quickly. But as the game wore on, he started to have an impact. He should take heart from it and understand that he can be whatever he wants in this sport

Yes he seemed to hold back from running at them more than usual first half but possession was the thing then and it worked as we came into the game more and more

Well yes, I'd rather he recycled it with an easy ball than made a run that's not there and lost it. It must be a good learning experience for him, and once again his defensive work was superb once he got a handle on the Sessignon runs off his shoulder.

GREAT POST

Edit 3; josh Coburn is quite clearly the natural goal scorer we’ve been searching for around the Uk and Europe and we have one in our back yard.
Go figure! 🤷‍♂️
Josh has to come into the picture more now. He has a steely coolness in front of goal that can’t be taught
