Johnson To Take Direct Control

I am still very pleased Johnson recovered, but surely nobody can be satisfied with his performance since returning from hospital...let alone pleased.

Whilst I wouldn't wish any harm on the buffoon I understand completely anyone wishing harm on the PM. He is directly responsible for the pandemic response and seems incapable of accepting where he has wilfully screwed up. In PMQ's today he parrotted the line that the government should be proud of what they have achieved... Does he really believe that, or does he not care about 60,000 dead on his watch.

He's trying to deflect again. What I like about Starmer is he asks a direct question, Boris then blusters and tries to change the issue. Ian Blackford just asked him a question, Boris blusters, Ian stands up and tells him he hasn't answered the question and pushes him again.

And then we get a nothing question from the MP for Sedgefield about opening a train station giving him an easy out. Its frustrating.

Baron that is unfortunately parliament and has been for some time. He didn't answer a single question directly. What he did do quite nicely was suggest that Starmer was not helping and suggested that he is smearing all the people involved (non-political) who's efforts have helped control the spread of the virus. It had just enough truth in it to bypass casual observers.

Boris Johnson was truly awful in every response.

Criticised Starmer for the tone of his questions then lost his rag while failing to answer them.

Ignored all questions regarding Trump.

Never offered any meaningful statistics and lied about what was said regarding the alert level v easing of lockdown.

Worst of all for me was that he was "proud of our record" 🤦🏻‍♂️

It’s politics
The phrase ‘proud of the government’s record’ was used. Some will hear and believe it.

Starmer did seem to be getting under his skin today.

However, can't say I like the idea of the leader of the opposition sending secret letters offering to help the PM get consensus for his policies. Especially when it goes directly against what trade unions are saying.

That's what was p!ssing Starmer off by the sound of it - said he'd been criticised for it, put his neck on the line without the courtesy of a reply. Not the only instance of letters not replied to at PMQ today either.
