Johnson To Take Direct Control

I would have thought the prime minister would have been in direct control of the biggest crisis to hit the nation since WW2 well before now. I know he was ill, but he resumed work on the 28th of April. What has been more important since then?

Is the subtext of the story an attempt to distance him from the ineffectual response thus far?

A response to Starmer's "Get a grip" call yesterday?

The most interesting para for me:
He also revealed he wrote a “private and confidential” letter to the prime minister two weeks ago offering to work constructively together to gain consensus for reopening schools, but Johnson has not replied.
To sit down and actually write to the leader of the opposition........"yawn, bedtime Carrie"

Stolen from the Twitter but I\d just love Kier's first question in PMQs to begin with:

"right, where do I f*cken start..."

Disagree with his politics is fair enough but that comment is appalling. And no I'm not a Tory.

I don’t think its appalling - each to their own I guess
And no, I’m not a Tory too.
