Joe Williams signs for Bristol City

We are obviously skint,doubt we are going to spend any serious money unless we bring some decent money in for the likes of fry or spence.

We must have had a cunning plan for promotion - target every half decent player so no one else could have them
 
Didn't we try to bet the farm on Waghorn last year? Not a total donkey, but figures of approx £10m bandied about and no way would we have had a good return on that.

After the profligacy of Monk and Pulis, this is the penury which follows. I mean, you could always invest in a decent scouring setup... but why bother?!
 
Bristol City are minted and let's be honest....better than us. We did nearly get relegated last season and money is tight so clubs offer more.

I imagine with no funds to blow teams out of the water in terms of wages (clearly what we used to do) and poor season.... We're a hard sell.

Oh well we move on to plans E and F😂
 
Fantastic, are we eventually get to the point where we can't field players because no one wants to play for Boro? Is this actually the chance all of us have been waiting for on the forum. It's my time to play the crab role in CM boys!
 
4 year deal, with wages and add ons he will likely cost in excess of £8m.

I don't find missing out on a few targets "embarrassing" , really. I'm sure none of the targets particularly had us as their one and only choice. We'll win some and lose some, but it's not embarrassing, is it?
