I'm not sure what his squad status will be (assuming a back-up role) but it surprised me a little bit. I had a feeling that he wanted to go somewhere and be first choice and play, maybe silence a few critics in the process (not that he really has anything to prove to anyone).
 
He was going on as if he wanted to be no 1 somewhere. Well clearly not. Money is clearly more important to him.
 
No Premier League club will offer him their #1 jersey.

He's bang average.

I wouldn't even have him as our #1 to be honest.
 
I would say only one Premier League club are looking for a new number 1 - Sheff Utd after Dean Henderson loan has finished. I wouldn't have him in the Championship either. He needs to move abroad again where he wont be scrutinized week in week out.
 
A very strange fall from being ranked as one of the top keepers in Europe, to an expensive reserve. At 33 he should have a good few years left. Happy to be a squad member / bench warmer and pick up the money. Better than any keeper we have on the books currently.
 
Strange situation with Hart as he was brilliant for a few seasons. He started making big mistakes around 2016 and hasn't been the same since.
 
I've never rated him as a top class goalkeeper and remember getting slated off Friends (ex-keeper myself) for having that opinion. As mentioned above, you could argue it unravelled from 2016 onwards but he's never recovered from *THAT* penalty from Pirlo at Euro 2012. I imagine he could do a job in the championship to re-establish himself as a No. 1 and get some confidence but this move doesn't surprise me.
