I mentioned Kwame Poku a few times during the summer window... He's an absolute machine.

10 goals and 7 assists in 18 games already.... If he carries on that record he'll hit 26 goals by the end of the season.
12 goals and 8 assists last season.
6 goals and 12 assists the season before that...

Improving year after year, and he's still only 23 years old. Perfect replacement for Ben Doak.

He sounds very interesting, but I have no idea how good he is, or crucially can be.
I've no doubt Scott and his team will know everything about him - and I'm happy to trust that - I can't even have a view about the lad other than his real numbers look good and Posh develop players.

We've already had to leave two seniors out the squad because we are over the 25 man limit. Unsure when Smith and Bangura are due to return but we can't name in January unless we de-register players.
We have 4 players out of contract in the summer, I wouldn't be surprised if we let them all leave the club to make a bit of space which may let us recruit in the summer.

This is why I suggested only Akpom in on loan in January.
We've both been consistently posting that the squad is massive.

I think his contract ends in June 2025 so I could see a few clubs trying a low bid this winter. Given that we have no space and we have Ben Doak, he seems more like someone we might look at if we don't get promoted. Don't see us making a bid this winter unless both Forss and Jones end up being unavailable for 1/2 a season.

Mind you, it looks like Crystal Palace have identified him and they have from for developing lower league players so good odds on that happening.

I think thats very harsh on Howson and Barlaser. Both are very capable midfielders in my opinion.

They were not great the other night, i know. But i think they are both fine.

It is harsh. They are both decent midfielders in their own right.

However, I don't think either are capable of playing to the standard we need for an extended period. In an ideal world they would be 4th/5th choice in their position and there would be a 3rd centre midfielder who is much closer to the level of Hackney and Morris.

The Blackburn game was as bad as it gets for them. They are not a good pairing as they don't fix each other's weaknesses. Blackburn were able to press them in the first half and neither of them are great at dealing with being pressed. Finally, without Azaz and (for most of the game) McGree, dropping into midfield to help, they were struggling to find connections. Put that altogether and we ended up with probably our worst midfield showing of the season.
 
I think everybody appreciates McGree`s ability, but I have to agree both him and Hackney make Irving Natrass have an appearance record like Spike. I would imagine they have a note written by their mother ."please excuse Riley/ Hayden from games today as its below average temperatures"

Barlaser is 28 in January. He’s not good enough for our aim and he never will be. Time to move him on.

Howsons days are up too, but maybe keep until summer as it’ll be too much change

Not sure that smith or lenihan will play again

Dijksteel , Howson, Silvera, Hoppe, Doak and Forss will all move in the summer come what may.

You have Clarke as out of contract in the summer. He isn’t he has another year plus another year option….however, I’d cash in, not good enough on the ball or consistent.

Might be a clear out this summer regardless of we go up or not.

Agreed. I think get one in January and then get another in summer to switch them both out long term.
