I think we need to admit that McGree can’t be relied on. Definitely need to look to strengthen on the left and loan Hamilton out.

We also need to look at CM. It’s a position with that you need to rotate and our 3rd and 4th choices aren’t up to it.
 
I'd say another CM will be a target. Also based on the fact it's almost certainly Howsons last season.

Then again once Hackney and Morris are fit we are stacked. So only a priority at the moment.

McGree has only just signed a new deal. It surprised me with his injury record. He simply can't be relied on to stay fit
 
It's a tough one as although a CM is needed at this moment in time, you are effectively recruiting for a back up role, which is incredibly hard to do on a budget in the championship without a noticeable drop off in quality.

Similar with LW, was apparent we needed an option last night, but are we going to recruit for someone who is going to be essentially 3rd choice? at best.

Tin hat time, but i think we should recruit for a starting LW, McGree just cant be relied upon to be on the pitch often enough. There is no doubting his quality, but the number and timing of his injuries are a huge concern for me.

Ryan Giles is on the whisper tree
Louis Barry that shout just gets better each day

Fry is back with the group which could be a godsend. Lenihan must be due a return in the next month or so.
Burgzorg will come on leaps and bounds if he gets a decent run of games under his belt.. still think Louis Barry would be a cracking signing
Forss is back in the mix and looked to be starting up top.. canny player to have if he can get back up to speed.. certainly knows where the onion bag is! I hope his injury hasn’t taken to much off him.
 
Yeh, I do think a CM is needed...even if it's not someone who comes into the team straight away, but Howson certainly needs replacing, if not Jan, then certainly in the summer.

Morris and Hackney are clear first choice and good enough, but I'd like us to sign someone who can push Hackney and challenge him for his spot.

I think Morris is gold and brilliant, but I still have some niggling doubts on Hackney. I love Hackney, especially the fact he's a local lad, but there's been a couple of occasions where his form has dipped, a bit too low.

Barlaser is more than good enough to be a 4th CM.

Morris/Hackney/Barlaser +1 and I think we'd be solid enough to cope with an injury or two in the middle of the park.

Fry , Burgzorg, Forss , we can't hope they will suddenly be fit every week and good enough to influence games.
We are carrying some dead wood who are getting paid but not contributing.
January should be the time to cull a couple.
