My mate overheard a lad chanting terrorist sympathiser to the tune of the Hokey Cokey apparently.

Being at a football match is nothing like just being on a street though is it?
For example, I don't sing any songs at all if I'm just walking to the shops. (Ok, I once had Rupert the Bear stuck in my head but I didn't belt it out, I just mumbled it a bit).
I don't celebrate wildly and hug strangers if the lollipop man safely gets my granddaughter across the busy road. Even if he does do it with a bit of swagger.
If I see someone running for a bus but just missing it, I don't point and laugh and chant 'who are ya?'
 
The guy I sat next to was going mental at him when he came over for the first corner.
Quite embarrassing to think a 40 odd year old could act like that tbh…
I couldn’t give 2 flying f&£5 if he wears a poppy or not…
Football fans really do let them selves down sometimes…

And yes my age and outlook on life probably doesn’t suit the South stand and I’ll be moving next season.

I hate it. Just people jumping on the usual media bandwagon. Who gives a f**k if he doesn't wear a poppy, he has his reasons. Stop letting the media and popular opinion shape your actions.

I'm happy people booing him when he acts like a chunt on the pitch (he didn't yesterday but does normally).

Watching champo highlights on sky prior to remembrance sunday, they didn't show any minutes silence from any games or displays but then the Wigan game started focusing on it, I wondered why at first and then they moved on to McLean and not wearing the poppy. It was so devious, f**k sky, f**k the media. Make your own minds up.

I don’t think he’d get as much grief if he wasn’t ex Sunderland.

If he doesn’t want to wear a poppy that is up to him. Nothing I’d boo him for anyway.

Curtis Tilt was a divvy pulling on shirts and dropping like a stone over the ball.. should have been carded for his antics. Him or Max Power should have been boo’s (if anyone)

Tendayi Darikwa has some reet trekkers in the warm up.. was surprised to see him not starting!
