It’s always Jam Tomorrow in Teesside

Hi BenThat's a strange report to say the least. Their first piece of evidence that Net Zero isn't working is a link to the closure of an ammonia plant, which is totally unrelated to carbon capture.
The second piece of evidence is a link to Bloomberg and is called "Hydrogen is a complete waste of time" (their quotation marks) but when you follow the link, what the article actually says is Hydrogen bets are a complete waste of time (why the quotations if they are going to misquote?) and is written by a hedge fund manager explaining that there will be no opportunities for quick profits from hydrogen, and predicting that these will be longer range ie. ten to fifteen years down the line.
Whilst we can't guarantee for sure that all or any of these projects will materialise, the work is still in the planning phase and we don't require dishonest articles to talk them down.

Don't have much time for Houchen but I'm not about to accept dishonesty just because it's about him.Hi Ben
Hi StiltsDon't have much time for Houchen but I'm not about to accept dishonesty just because it's about him.
You seem quite prepared to accept dishonesty about Starmer though. Really strange thatDon't have much time for Houchen but I'm not about to accept dishonesty just because it's about him.
Do I, or is this just another of your tedious attempts to engage with me?You seem quite prepared to accept dishonesty about Starmer though. Really strange that
Every time somebody posts that website as if it's some kind of revolutionary investigative journalism, it's a load of clickbait. At least Private Eye occasionally do their research properly .That's a strange report to say the least. It's journalists doing what journalists should do.Every time somebody posts that website as if it's some kind of revolutionary investigative journalism, it's a load of clickbait. At least Private Eye occasionally do their research properly .
To be fair private eye got quite alot of info from there. He post sources surely its better than the gazette printing one of houchen's press releases word for word as news.Every time somebody posts that website as if it's some kind of revolutionary investigative journalism, it's a load of clickbait. Journalists shouldn't twist things, or mislead by including something that has nothing to do with the subject whilst implying that it has. Nor should they be wilfully misquoting people to further their agenda. It's journalists doing what journalists should do.
Oh I agree, we wouldn't have seen a Tory government since WW2.Journalists shouldn't twist things, or mislead by including something that has nothing to do with the subject whilst implying that it has. Nor should they be wilfully misquoting people to further their agenda.
This I'm afraid, is an example of journalists doing what they do and not what they should be doing.
The author of that report is known to me personally, and takes great exception to being labelled a clickbait generator. Perhaps Colin prefers his "journalism" from people such as Mike Hughes of the Northern Echo, who hasn't got out of bed for six years, but just copies and pastes Ben Houchen/TVCA press releases verbatim and publishes them under his own bylineEvery time somebody posts that website as if it's some kind of revolutionary investigative journalism, it's a load of clickbait. Ray Casey has wrote that same article numerous times with no evidence to back it up other than a quote from one person at bloomberg. The author of that report is known to me personally, and takes great exception to being labelled a clickbait generator.
