Italy Divewatch

I can't wait until they are wining with 10 mins left. The pure art of shithousery👏

They are just missing Bettinelli and 3min goal kicks lol.

Perhaps a slightly controversial view but I haven't noticed any Italian diving this championships.

Lots of making the most of minimal contact but they are far from the only exponents of this as winning free kicks in dangerous areas and penalties is part of the game.

Did you not see them vs Belgium?

I would say 'making the most of minimal contact' is still cheating?

I guess it's a gray area. I am of the opinion that if its not enough to put you down then it's cheating/diving. I agree though that everyone does it and very much so in the prem. So not necessarily an 'Italy thing'.

Yes, one of the best games of the Euros that.

I saw plenty of game management, time wasting, making the most of the tiniest bit of contact and in essence expert sh*thousery. I didn't see any out and out blatant dives with no contact at all made which is what I would class as a dive. Like it or not (I personally don't) going to ground under minimal contact is part of the game these days, all countries do it, even England. Unless the football authorities change the rules and clamp down on it then it will continue to be part of the game.

Was the worst I’ve seen for a long time.

Italy hit Spain on the break and precisely illustrate why I said the other day that we should be rooting for Spain.

Spain are looking like they'll get what they deserve from this game.

They are woeful up front.

Get Adama on.

Of the two I'd rather play Spain.
Italy very very well organised.
Assuming we get past Denmark the final will be some theatre.

Yeah would definitely rather play Spain. Italy were looked much sharper when they were hunting for a goal. They've shot themselves in the foot a bit going very defensive now and a Spanish win or penalties look the most likely outcomes now.

From England's point of view, a gruelling period of extra time plus the emotion of lots of penalties would take its toll on any prospective opponent for Sunday.

It was shocking against Belgium. The end of the game was just ludicrous. It needs to be stamped out. It makes football a laughing stock. I watched it in a rugby pub and we all thought it ridiculous
