It’s looking like a potential landslide victory for Joe Biden

Fair points, people wanted cheaper stuff (and more of it) from the 80's on , plus what about labour costs?I often wonder if it really would have been economically viable to maintain an industrial sector in the west when the labour costs in other places are so much lower
It simply has to be addressed otherwise these chancers and con-men are simply going benefit from people's unhappiness over and over again. I've had my rants about 'the gig economy' (false self employment) and zero hours contracts on here before and don't intend to repeat them but these employment models need to be outlawed. Those firms like Herpmes are avoiding paying Employers Nat Ins on 10s of thousands of workers so not only are they screwing their workforce they're screwing the country. Alas I strongly suspect that employment rights in the UK are going to be watered down not reinforced.
'Economists for Brexit' openly admitted that Brexit would be the final death knell for British industry but we just needed to accept it. I don't think we should. In the current 'difficulty' it was interesting to note the vast range of basic stuff we needed but didn't manufacture anymore. Needless to say other countries either weren't keen to release essential supplies or prices shot up astronomically.

I agree with you but people will be shopping on Amazon as we speak.
What people say and what they do are 2 different things.
for example I'm trying to buy my books now from Blackwell's in the UK rather than Amazon here in the us. It's a small thing but it at least helps a company that is paying tax in the UK or any nation.

Biden is a pretty poor candidate made to look good by Trump's inadequacies. Dems should have picked Bernie as candidate, Biden should pick AOC for VP candidate, she's America's future hopefully.
Bernie? Based upon what? AOC? No matter what you think they would have had no chance, that would be like labour picking momentum candidates.
I even voted for Bernie in the. 2016.primary but the USA isn't ready for him/AOC style candidate yet.
This is a place that thinks biden. Is a.socialist .

5.3mill votes and a 306 electorate...that's a landslide according to trump. The WI polls were out, TX probably as well. Other than they were pretty much correct
If only it hadn't taken them more than a week to produce such a conclusive result.

I can't abide Donald Trump, but the idea that almost 100% of mail in votes in key states were Biden's stinks to high heaven. If it were the other way around, this board would be in flames.

IKR? It's almost as if Trump campaign was trying to stop postal voting and trying to get people to vote in person. Whereas Biden was pushing for postal votes.

Oh, hang on a minute...

There's definitely issues with the system but trump was sowing the seeds long before the election

I don't know what else you would expect when Trump and his cohorts were telling their supporters to vote in person and the Dems were advising their supporters to vote by mail....

A statement that just fails to understand what went on completely. Not just key states. Most states.

Trump to his base “Don’t Mail in your vote”. Then wonders why he didn’t get many in-mail votes 🤷‍♂️

I tell you what the only thing that stinks. That Trump got as many votes as he did. He almost virtually told his base to go and vote twice. Maybe some did.

Ah come on there better than that surely. Just admit you backed the wrong horse and move on with your life.

At the end of the day Trump lost fair and square, Biden got the most popular votes and the most electoral votes. Trump is a petulant brat the just cannot accept he is a LOOSER. Just pack your bags and move out of the White house LOOSER.

What’s Loose about him? ;)

Trump spent months telling his supporters to vote in person for this exact reason, so he could turn around and say mail in ballots were unlawfully weighted towards Biden.

they way it’s all falling apart for him makes me happy, but surely their great strategic brains could have approached this better
