Is he going or not
The problem was that he said that he only wanted to play for Spurs. Why would other clubs then make an offer. And the reason Spurs think that they have the upper hand in the negotiations. We needed another suitor but for all the supposed interest it seems that only Spurs want him. Could be worse I suppose, if none of them had followed up.
No chanceAnyone think he’ll be loaned out immediately the transfer is confirmed?
Doubt would be concluded until spurs return from Korea, think i read they are there another week, its possible to conclude a deal but its of little benefit to them.It needs sorting one way or another quickly
Feels like a game of poker
As far as I see everyone's a winner if he goes to Spurs, so its likely it will happen.
I guess we all wish we knew what had been offered by Spurs (if anything) so far.
I remember the Pallister transfer to MU took about 6 weeks - all through August 1989. MU paid up in the end and he was a great signing for them. Spence is not quite the same level, but it has similar feel. Young English player better than his current division interests one of the top 6.
I'm not sure you can be certain of that. If other major clubs were interested, he would hear what they have to say and how much they're offering. That's what it nearly always comes down to, whatever else they say.The problem was that he said that he only wanted to play for Spurs. Why would other clubs then make an offer. And the reason Spurs think that they have the upper hand in the negotiations.
The money from Mogga was spent on the geezer who lost his place to him: Derek Whyte for £900k and Chris effing Morris2.3m was a massive amount back then for a defender. Replaced with Simon Coleman I believe?
Vickers for Kernaghan was a better deal haha
Who did we spend moggas £1m on? Was he replaced in the team by nicky mohan?
