Sadly, from a British point of view, Johnson showed he has no interest in taking any kind of stand against what’s happening in Israel and Palestine when he opposed the International Criminal Courts investigation into alleged war crimes in the Occupied Territories, there is wrong on both sides and International arbitration is the only reasonable hope of finding any lasting and constructive form of conciliation in the area, Leaders from around the world need to stand up to those responsible on both sides and be strong in their condemnation, for too long the source of blame and culpability has overshadowed the need to look forward and not backwards, the Israeli Government and Army should be censured and criticise as should the organisations within Palestine who believe the destruction of Israel is the only solution...a two state solution needs to be found, agreed upon and upheld by those with the power to do so, otherwise further unnecessary death and destruction is the inevitable outcome.

This. Unfortunately the Western left only wastes their energy on one and the Western right only wastes its time on the other.
 
A couple of things spring to mind reading this thread. The first is that Israel are the primary aggressor here and imagine how we would react as a nation if a foriegn invader was slaughtering our women and children. Most of us wouldn't be interested in a peacful resolution. We would go to war. Palestine have every right to defend themselves.

The second thing is the ridiculous support that Israel gets from some sectors, both personally and internationally. It's like everyone is afraid of being called anti-semetic and over compensate.

Israel are an awful state and need stopping. It would be a start to impose an arms embargo on them

is it ideological to get angry if a mob come and turf you out of your home? Or just a basic human reaction?
