Is that how we judge if a player has played well? Did he contribute in getting an opposing player sent off which helped us gain an advantage for a big push last 15 mins and enough time to get the winner we got. Did he look our biggest threat and link with our talisman Akpom , yes he did.

If people are going to say he's our "main attacking threat" then yes I expect goals or assists from such a player.

Which he has provided for us this season in different games. It won’t happen every single game mate. He’s not Messi

He is certainly one of our main attacking threats and the only player in the squad who can do some of the things he can do.

Giles is obviosuly the best crosser and Akpom proving to be the best player but Jones has defensive , dribbling qualities and the ability to assist when he gets in good positions. Calm down mate, it’s 1 game back after a 4 week break in which we won
 
I’ve noticed over the years that a good proportion of our fans don’t particularly like creative players and prefer the steady system players.

Maybe going back a bit now but Juninho (played in a World Cup final for Brazil no less) had plenty of Riverside critics.

Adama almost single handedly got us into the play offs under Pulis but it still wasn’t good enough for plenty of Boro fans.

But Andy Peake, Adam Clayton, Paul Okon and a good few more….never a word said against them.

He's been crap all season so far. I'm perfectly calm.
