Into the Top Ten Misses of All Time

The only possible way to miss that was by using his right foot. He did.

More evidence to support my theory that footballers have had their brains removed.

David Dome, Phoenix Marketing Director was on soc media asking why the public aren’t supporting the team in big numbers now they are top. Only 6k for the win at the weekend.

I know it’s v disappointing. I think the cake tin is.way to big for the team, would be much better to use a smaller stadium and then the cake tin for play offs /finals

Kanu v THE MIGHTY BORO at the hawthorns Gota be up there.. think Robbo was in charge of WB.

Kanu's was a first time finish I think?

I don't think any first time miss is as bad as one where the player has time to control the ball when he's got an empty net in front of him.

This guy's right foot seems to have a mind of its own: he looks all the world like he's setting himself up for a left footed finish; suddenly, his right foot just jabs out.

Still, if you're going to do it, do it when you're 3-0 up.

Sadly it'll take the Nix to win the World Cup and beat Lionel Messi's Argentina in the final before the Kiwi general public took much more of an interest in them. Half the Kiwi men I know still call it 'foot marbles' such is their disdain and wouldn't want their kids (or grandkids now) playing the game ahead of rugby.
I'd have thought the Nix marketing manager would have realised that and tried strategies to get the typical Kiwi on board.
Kiwis don't like the thought that they are 'missing out' on something so maybe that's a good way of marketing them: Don't Miss out on the Nix -
I mean if being top of the league and beating all the Aussie teams isn't enough for Kiwis to get behind a team then what is?
I agree though about a smaller ground for the Nix regular season games.

To be fair tno the Nix they are trying all sorts of pronotions. Free tickets for kids, season ticket discounts for the remaining games, Worth reading the discussion in the thread re the issues.

I went to the game on Saturday and the atmosphere was ok for all the sea of empty seats. It didnt help with the dull 0-0 that was played earlier in the week on Waitangi day. Maybe 2 games in a week is too much to afford.
