I'm a bit worried

Lets face it were in playoffs. Id definitely ritate and freshen the team up. Give barlaser. Crooks , Bola, mowatt, dijksteel, roberts some games. Howson and hackney look jaded to me.
I think we need some changes, agreed. I’d worry about making too many though. We’re 7 points above 7th which is Norwich. They beat us, it’s 4 points and we have tricky fixtures remaining. Not sure we’re guaranteed playoffs yet.

Don’t think it was that bad last night, Burnley got lucky with the first goal, even their forum think he was offside.

It was tight, a lot at stake, with a heavy atmosphere (unusual for the Riverside in my opinion).

Fine margins, on another night, it could have gone the other way.

Our front 4 is our strength - see the goals scored column.

Archer is a key part of that and Akpom is an absolute jewel.
We have Forss, Ramsey and McGree for the other 2 positions.

Ramsey is easily the most talented of those 3 and Forss is the hardest working and a real goal threat.

McGree was awful last night and should have gone very early. Ramsey left, Forss right for me as starters.

Our problems are much further back and on the flanks against good/well organised teams.
Forss's graft makes Smith look passable sometimes.
Neither McGree or Ramsey can protect Giles' defensive frailty and he is absolutely targeted. This exposure on the flanks leaves McNair and Lenihan to cover and they struggle to, which is absolutely why Fry MUST play.

Ramsey and Archer were very, very poor last night, Smith was a 5/10 slightly better.
But Giles, McGree, Lenihan, Hackney....all looked completely off it.
Apart from the second goal, thought Howson had a good game, but even he noticeably tired.
McNair.....didn't do a lot wrong apart from the second goal, but I do feel more confident with Fry in the team.
Overall, very good team Burnley and we were in no way steamrolled. But worrying we look tired, disjointed and actually low on confidence. Get this blip out of the way now and rediscover our form going into the playoffs 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️
Hackney is gone. He’s got that ‘new young player in the team’ look about him.
What I mean is that he is in a slump and probably won’t recover his form without a break but Carrick doesn’t have a break to offer him so does he become ruthless and bring in barlassor or pray Hackney clears his head (which he won’t because he’s hit a brick wall and it’s kind of understandable) most young players go through this where their standards are so high that they run out of mental steam and that’s what has happened to hackney bless him

Ramsey clearly has talent but he needs to have time on the ball and struggles up against physical opposition who don't allow him that time, the same thing happened vs Stoke and he looked very lightweight.

I also don't like that McGree ends up switching over to the right when Ramsey starts. When Forss starts on the right, McGree almost seems to have a free role coming in from the left and he's able to link the play and get us playing.

And there lies the problem, Carrick trying to accommodate both McGree and Ramsey in the team together, not only do we lose the balance that Forss gives us on the right, Mcgree and Ramsey look lost playing on the right and are constantly swapping positions.
He has to stick with Forss on the right, and choose between Mcgree or Ramsey to play on the left. with the one of them on the bench.

Spot on and Ramsey is far more talented than McGree IMHO.

Does two games count as a slump now? You’ve posted some absolute guff in the last day or so but that’s up there.
