Ikpeazu

Me and Neil clearly 👍
Yes because that’s the only possible explanation for taking him off. And as well all know Colin is infallible. Not to mention the fact that he was the one that signed him in the first place.

You’re having a stinker!

a lot of the talk on the other thread was tongue in cheek. Personally he looks like he’ll struggle do make double figures

looks clumsy and cumbersome. I think he looks to a very good league 1 striker. I’ll think he’ll find it tough against championship defenders

Clearly sending him a message, performance must improve, hooked 10 mins into a 2nd half we are losing.

You're odd mate, since he went off Fulham have had the freedom of the pitch.

Possession probably more to do with the **** midfield and non existent width

I think its unfair to judge him on today's game, I'd like to see him playing in more dangerous areas, but we never got a foothold in the game until Tav came on.

His strength is a real bonus for us and if the supply is in the right areas, he'll score a few and create opportunities for the runners.

To be honest it was just refreshing to see a no.9 with physical presence who can win and hold the ball up.

I thought he was poor but like I said on the other thread I also don’t think we played to his strengths. He needs balls into the box and runners off him if he is going to be useful for us.

He worked hard for sure and I would hate to play against him but I didn’t think he was that great at holding the ball up, a lot bounced off him.

And before people get their knickers in a twist, no I am not writing him off, I’m merely commenting on what I saw today and today only.

We looked class in the last 15 minutes when we had players who could carry the ball and take people on, Ikpeazu would have benefited from that in the first half.

We haven’t had a striker that can hold the ball up like this for a long time. Struggling to think of one since Viduka?

Anyone criticising that performance doesn’t understand the game.
Does that include the pundits on sky? And Warnock who was clearly so impressed he replaced him after less than an hour with a CM?
