I never shop but that's the one my wife goes to. It always seems empty as I sit outside waiting for her to carry the bags back. It's an effort to get out and help.Go to Lidl at Yarm Lane, they have chutes at the tills so you can load your shopping while the next person is going through the till.
We don’t even pack on the back shelf, just fill the trolley and pack back at the car.Just tip it straight back into the trolley and then put it in bags by the back wall if you can't keep up with the checkout staff.
S-easy.
Is that a necessary journey considering you live in Middlesbrough and there are Aldi/Lidl's much closer to you.On the other hand at Lidl/Aldi there is hardly ever a queue - I remember going in some M and S and Tescos last year and queueing for ages and also feeling less safe for being in that queue. I can drive to lidl in under 10 mins. Shop in under 10 mins and so be back loading my fridge with change to spare in half an hour.
Waitrose customers practised social distancing before covid!I can’t stand the way they throw your shopping at you to the point where I won’t shop there anymore. I also hate the way the aisles are always being restocked during the day so that no one can social distance properly.
I find Waitrose far more civilised and much safer in terms of social distancing etiquette, the aisles are wider and shoppers don’t feel the need to bring their entire families for a day out.
That’s very true, my local one is full of aloof wealthy old ladies Who wouldn’t dream of breathing over you.Waitrose customers practised social distancing before covid!
I use the Aldi and Lidl in Middlesbrough - Dickfingers. Am just pointing out about Lidl in Stockton. Is that a necessary journey considering you live in Middlesbrough and there are Aldi/Lidl's much closer to you.
Just asking for a friend that's all.
I find the Aldi checkout process massively superior. As soon as queues appear they open more tills. The queue usually moves very quickly, unless you're behind one of those people who try to pack everything away neatly at the till. These people should not be allowed to buy food!I use the Aldi and Lidl in Middlesbrough - Dickfingers. Am just pointing out about Lidl in Stockton.
But the whole point is you don't pack your bag at the till. I find it better during Covid than queuing right across the food hall in Teesside Park M ans S.
