It's encouraging to see a number of policies centred on or around the environment - a coherent energy and environment strategy which ties in other key areas (jobs, growth etc) could be a significant factor in the next election I think.

Social care spend looks promising (and is massively needed) but I'm not sure how that compares to current?

Is there no VAT on private school fees?

When you send your child to a public school, you are making a donation to charity effectively. I am suprised they dont claim the gift aid and get another 40p in the pound as opposed to the paying of 20% VAT tax

They raise millions through bequests where they definitely do claim the 40p in the pound off the Government (as I am guessing most ex pupils are paying 40% tax rate), so when a person donates a thousand pounds to Eton, the Goverment will top it up to £1400 through gift aid (out of general taxation)

Not sure this is what Gordon Brown had in mind when he devised gift aid

Will need more than an emoji to get me voting for them. What's their housing policy? Labour have been pathetic so far. The Tories have done more for renters than them. The SNP just announced rent freeze and a ban on section 21 evictions. Their pledge to limit foreign ownership of homes to 50% is laughably pathetic. How about 100% of new homes are used for living in rather than as investments?
