We were talking about dinosaurs and how they died out and yet how crocodiles are basically dinosaurs of today and some one said well no wonder as the couldn’t get on the ark.. (they were obviously joking) ha ha thought I, but she said said that was to right and they all perished in the great flood.

What THE flood noah and the ark are you serious.

Not really. Bit i get your point palaeontology then. Archaeology is easier to spell. She might not be as wrong as you think. Theres a satellite image of what looks like an ark on mount Arrarat and loads of local folklore from people who reckon theyve been inside it. Might well be something there. Doesnt mean its noah’s ark tho

I think that’s the one she mentioned.
 
There are some reasonable sounding arguments for a great flood like sea life fossils being found up mountains and stuff like that but it’s all fairly well explained by the relevant experts in the field. The more interesting theories are the possibility of unknown advanced ancient civilisations and Atlantis being a real ancient city.
 
Who would worship a good that destroyed all life on earth cos he was feeling a bit peeky. Even if he exists you can keep him.
 
There was that guy on the old board that said the earth was flat & we were told it was round to make us all feel less special and part of God's plan.

Totally agree. The Younger-Dryas cataclysm is likely the source of many if not all of the ancient flood stories that are prevalent in almost all religions and cultures. Worth noting that the ancient Egyptians considered themselves a legacy civilisation and the evidence for advanced technology and engineering in relation to the pyramids and the actual age of the sphinx is very interesting
 
There is archeological evidence of the flood- combined with the folklore and legends of many peoples in the eastern end of the Med,
