I won't be renewing

Blimey that story about the RF season ticket offer, is there actually truth to that? Jesus Christ that would be absolutely mad. Surely it can’t be true. It opens up several cans of worms if so. It’s pretty worrying tbh.

It's a bit concerning that no one has denied this happened. Surely there's members of red faction who post on this board.

I'll be renewing on pay day it's my home town club regardless of how there playing I'll be supporting them. I live in middlesbrough so it's no big deal for logistics. I understand the vast majority of this board have moved away and makes it harder to get to.

My thoughts exactly. It can't be true, but I wouldn't put it past Gibson.

Aren't most games on sky TV next season?
No. Not most. But there will be a lot.

"Each League weekend fixture round will see 10 live EFL fixtures shown. Five matches will be shown from the Sky Bet Championship and supporters of Sky Bet League One and League Two teams will now benefit from greater coverage than ever before with five of their games being broadcast live. "
So five games a weekend.

Good to know it wasn't just me that heard this. As I said this came direct from someone within RF and they believed and even told Steve the group may not exist next season.

As for people wanting confirmation from Rob I don't think he will have done this infront of everyone during the discussion. So I would expect him to be unaware himself.
I know absolutely nothing about this. Nor did anyone else from Mbro Supporters Forum.

So 42% of weekend matches plus pretty much all mid-week matches with red button.
11 mid-week matches this season + 32 weekend matches + 3 Bank Holidays

Probably looking at approximately 28 matches televised out of 46. Or 14 out of 23 home matches.

I understand that. But I know for a fact this is true.

As explained RF actually declined the offer as they wanted reduced prices for the full fan base. So good on them.

It's not just the sheer volume of games on TV - it the timings. Scheduling of games will be at the convenience of broadcasters with little regard to the convenience of the match going public. Season tickets imply a commitment to games spectators may be increasingly unable to attend.

Exactly. Friday night and Monday night matches are crap alternatives to a Saturday 3pm kick off. Particularly the Monday night kick off where people who work away will be unable to attend.

No, it will be the majority of games.

Every single midweek game and all the Christmas, New Year, Easter games will be shown.

10 teams out of 24 on weekends is 42% of the teams having their games moved.

You then normally have 13-14 midweek fixtures, all of which will be shown.

If you add the holiday fixtures you're looking at around 30 matches on Sky per club.

@fmttmadmin can the club be contacted about the claim above?

It’s extremely bad form if true and tantamount to bribing fans to be compliant.

On the other hand, it would also be bad form if it is a made up rumour, but Robbieboro seems adamant this has occurred through a trusted source.

You have to admit, it’s not a good rumour to be circulating at a time when there is serious questions regarding supporter inclusion and a lack of transparency via a lack of meeting minutes.

Just to clarify, that's a figure on the low side, as all of the first weekend and last weekend games will also be shown.

I cant say I've been told about it being true or not, but genuinely wouldn't suprise me. I said on the other thread, even if it is true the lads would never accept it.

Imagine a nice call from Gibbo will be coming someone's way true or not.

this thread is a good mix of threads now!

So this link above is the latest update. there will be 328 championship games out of 552 broadcast (minimum) so 59% of games available MINIMUM.

Each season, Sky Sports will broadcast a minimum of:
  • 328 Sky Bet Championship matches
  • 248 Sky Bet League One matches
  • 248 Sky Bet League Two matches
  • All 15 Play-Off matches
  • All 93 Carabao Cup matches
  • All 127 EFL Trophy matches

and from the EFL:

That's the one and all the TV match numbers are minimums. So, if we have a FA Cup match later in the season, for example or a postponement due to our opponent being in the Cup, the weekend match will be shown as part of the midweek coverage. If Christmas and New Year matches fall on a weekend, they will be shown.
