We should absolutely stick with this lad and the way he wants his team to play football. I totally understand the stick he is getting in some quarters at the minute but let's be honest here, he has been totally let down by Steve Gibson and his recruitment team. I said in another post if your a carpenter and someone sells your tools could you do your job?

Steve Gibson does not have the finance to back this club and take it forward. I think it's about time he came out and actually spoke about his long term plan for the boro because this season has not only been a disaster on the field but behind the scenes it doesn't sound much better either!!

I’ve often wondered if Gibson could find another backer for the club?
Someone to come in as part ownership?
It’s getting to the point that we seem to get close, but can’t financially push the boat out a bit more to get the players to take us over the line.

I support the club and the manager but that doesn't mean that they shouldn't face criticism when it's due.
Yes he may have been let down with sales/signings.
Yes he's very unlucky with injuries.
But, you have got to adapt and maybe move away from your principles and ideal way of playing football if you haven't got the players to do that.

They sold his tools and replaced them with inferior ones. If you are a good carpenter then you should still be able to do A decent job with worse quality tools but it might mean you need to adapt and do things a slightly different way. Maybe the final product would not be as good as it would be if you had the better tools but it should still be solid and good enough not to fall to bits at the slightest touch.

I'm just bored of changing manager every two months. We have terrible injuries this year and the signings have been poor.
However he's sent the team out poorly set up on a number of occasions.
He is a young manager and needs to be given the opportunity to learn his trade.
Unfortunately the team has been very streaky for a couple of years now. When they are good they are very good. When they are poor their heads are quick to drop.
No one with the spirit of Clayton friend leadbitter Barry Robson etc.
Look at who was captain today. A kid.

Happy to stick with a young manager who is making mistakes and learning from them. Not sure MC is actually learning. Sad but true.

The fans have supported him and continue to do so.
All I'm saying is I wouldn't be saddend by he's departure, he's tactics are becoming worrying for a start, we are in free fall and have no bottle.

MC is part of the recruitment team, and when SG has spent he then gets accused of turning the club into a basket case. People want him to spend multi millions whilst at the same time complaining that they have been asked to pay an extra £30 a season.

We all knew we took on a rookie manager and that it was going to take time, he proved last season what he can manage with a decent squad of players. We have had 8 managers in just over 10 year, so personally sacking him is not the answer.
I also do wonder what say if any Michael Carrick gets in transfers!!

Can't believe someone hasn't been along to correct you on your comment on Carrick's involvement in transfers. 😂

It's not the £30 increase in isolation though, is it?
It's the ignorant and arrogant wording of the renewal email, the selling of our better players, the nose-dive from what was a great season last year and the inexplicable fact that we pay the most in the entire Championship.

That's true other matters were mentioned, but the biggest issue by far was about the price increase.
