I have a horrible suspicion NW won’t stay

Probably get pelters for this, but I couldn't care less if left.

He's got us in a similar place to where Pulis got us, Monk had us, and probably any half decent manager would get us. Woodgate failed obviously, and he's an exception, but I don't think Warnock is doing anything another experienced manager couldn't do.

You’re entitled to an opinion but I doubt many others would have got Dijksteel, Bola, Fry and McNair playing as well as he has. You only have to listen to the players to know the effect he’s had on the dressing room.

Does no one else think he's likely frustrated with the lack of resources available?

I might be going against the consensus here but we blow hot and cold so frequently. It cannot be the managerial side as we know how good he is (I'm not being sarcastic) so the only thing left is the players.

Yes their lad should have been sent off and a penalty given but that incident aside we didn't look great again.

I really am worried Warnock will be off as he's realised that whilst Gibson has a reputation as a top chairman the truth is slightly different now - the money just isn't there or Gibson doesn't want to spend it.

It's sounded like he'll stay all season, but the last few days has probably knocked the stuffing out of him.
Robbed on the slippery pitch, injuries and transfers falling through.
Kinell lads! C'mon, it's down to his wife at the end of the day. You think he hasn't had injuries or missed out on transfers before?

Fry's injury, tough pill to swallow, but he's on the mend
Tavernier's injury, on top of everything it's a sickner, but look at Browne.. pretty sure he'd trade places with him right now.
'The slippy pitch' it's how we want it, it's how we play now.. slippy!

Missed out on a winger and a striker.. so we make other arrangements and do without Olivier Giroud and the return of Adama Traore.
(I bet the striker we missed out on is the same one we missed out on a few weeks ago)

I think the whole Blackburn match was a bit of a sickener, I’m normally over a defeat by the next day but this one still lingers on a bit with all the xxxt that emanated from Blackburn afterwards. A good win will see us back on our feet.

Really !!

Seriously !!

What Neil has achieved with this misshapen, badly assembled squad, is nothing short of a miracle. Plenty of people were hoping for Chris Hughton before Woodgate was appointed, he has not set the City of Nottingham and their sleeping giant alight yet and look at the squad he has at his disposal. Warnock is undoubtedly getting more from the squad than many a manager ever would in my eyes.

The wheels are close to coming off potentially, but that is due to squad size, injuries and a side largely bereft of pace, creativity and a natural target man/goal scorer. He has done more for the club in terms of bringing the fans and club back together, midst a pandemic, no fans at games and whilst those last 2 apply to all clubs, many managers with better squads than ours, more money and are failing. He deserves the freedom of the Boro if we made the play-offs let alone went up.

I think covid, bizarrely may help us out. If he retires this season he could easily be looking at restrictions or even a short full lockdown again in December. Going abroad seems unlikely certainly. That's not much of a retirement.

Think that might well tip the balance towards him staying for one more year.

Good point

Yeah really.

He's got us no further than the much maligned Pulis & Monk - what has he achieved by the way ? He's got us within touching distance of the play offs, as did the two managers mentioned above.

"brought the fans and the club back together" hmmm, not all of us buy into this new messiah thing, I think he's a **** and feel no more connected to the club than I did under previous managers, but appreciate not everyone is the same.

Warnock is working miracles with this squad, tosayhe isn't completely baffles me, his man Management is nothing short of genius.
We better we careful what we wish for, I appreciate it's all about opinion but we need to face the hard realities of the world we live in and our dire financial plight.
Warnock for me anyday.

Wow . Certainly respect your opinion but for me he’s gelled a fractured club that was aimless and broken . We had years of getting remoulded with no formula and even as a fan ( and loads I know of ) were frankly sick of it . It was unpleasant being a Boro fan and NW has got us all hoping again .

But it's a results business and we're no further on than under previous managers (Woodgate excepted).

I don't buy the gelled a fractured club thing either, what has changed really ?

As I say I know I'm in the minority, but I don't like the bloke (obviously I don't know him personally) and I don't feel any more connected or excited about the club than I did under previous managers.

The truth is that we're in an unprecedented pandemic and the club has barely any income so will be haemoraging money. Warnock knows thats why we can't spend rather than Gibson not being the chairman he thought he was.

I am sure you will have realised that Monk had £45M and Pulis £22M or so, plus loanees at their disposal, Warnock has had what exactly, players out of contract largely not replaced, a CB deal for Hall that was agreed before Warnock's appointment, the loan of a player he has not wanted and a CF who came in under his approval for what £2.75M.

I suspect your judgement of him is based on years of being fed tripe by the media more than personal knowledge. His record is incredible. He is warm, engaging, humorous and the finest motivator of a footballer I have ever had the privilege to meet. He has incredible passion for his team and respect from most that have played for him. Boro would be in league one right now but for him and Blackwell and Jepson, lets not forget them too.

Neil has a farm in Cornwall so I doubt he would be twiddling his thumbs wondering how to fill his time. Football, thankfully, is a bigger passion to him

We’re not buying numpties like we constantly did as he knows a player when he’s sees one .
