Once the autos were almost gone there was 4 goals; Qualify for playoffs, finish 3rd/4th, Get to Wembley, Win final.

1st goal complete so well happy today, but not breaking out the bubbly just yet.👍
 
I'm pretty sure the players and Carrick must have known straight away.
During his post-match interview when getting his mom award, Jones said something like 'now that we've secured our play-off place'.
Unless he was just thinking of the GD.

We were 8 points off 6th and sitting in 21st, and only outside of the relegation zone on goals scored when Carrick was appointed, with over a third of the season already gone, now we're 10 points clear of 6th.

Luton, who are having another brilliant season and have been throughout, were 7 points above us, that's down to 1 and we have the chance to leapfrog them on Monday.

Mental turnaround.
 
I don’t think our play off spot has been in doubt for a few weeks now.

We are just too consistent to be caught.
 
Our attacking play is a joy to behold and the main reason for confidence going into the play-offs. Any team over two legs and in the final if we get there, will have to do a great job to shut us out. I don't think I have seen a Boro team score so many goals so consistently in all my time following the Boro (early to mid 80s onwards).
 
It’s definitely worth us fans getting excited about. A big difference to what we were all expecting before Carrick was appointed.

The players will just focus on the next game and won’t look beyond it. As it should be.
