I’m so sad tonight

Unfortunately the police have lost control of the country.

Look at the response to protests last summer. Those protesting against lockdown measures were met with the same response as those women tonight.
Or the shameful arrests and physical man handling of elderly protestors and scientists, no outcry then.

Or other various protests and gatherings over the past 12 months that have been met with nothing more than a watchful eye.
I think you're right. The more the nation veers to the right the more bully boy tactics are seen as acceptable and any protest viewed with scorn.

This stuff going on tonight at that vigil for a murdered woman
Met police seemingly wading in.
What a god awful country we live in
What a god awful time to be alive.

I want to think it’s going to get better and life will be worth living at some point again but I can’t believe it just now.
Aet290204, sorry to hear that, hope you start to feel better, take care bud

It’s just awful

These are women who just wanted to mourn a poor soul taken from this world with an act of brutality met with nothing but aggression. Seemingly in the name of enforcing this godforsaken lockdown that has ruined mine (and millions of others) mental health.

I simply don’t want to be part of this world. If I could take a pill that would remove me from it I’d take it.

If it wasnt for the lockdown many more people would have died and ruined many more lives. The police devil they do devil they don`t

Police gyms have been open in Newport Gwent. They should be getting fined for that. Doubt anything will happen.

Please can you all stop it.

I posted this about my sadness and the detrimental effect seeing goings on tonight in London had on my mental health.

I don’t want to read petty squabbling about the wrongs or rights of lockdown rules, mass gatherings or policing

Thank you.

I so wish I hadn’t posted this now. You’ve made me feel worse than I did an hour ago.

Thank you to everyone who read this and posted kind words. Can’t say I feel great today but spent the afternoon watching the cricket and taking the **** out of a Mackem friend Of mine on WhatsApp about pizza delivery.

Can’t be arsed with the rest of you that carried on your petty squabbles about lockdown/policing - oh and a special mention to the new member who replied in a hostile manner to one of my other posts.

The internet is a vile place. As is this world.

Utb.

Pleased to see that you're still engaging with us here. I hope the Mackem took it in good faith and the cricket wasn't too disappointing.
Keep posting, there's always a sympathetic ear amongst the rest of the noise.
