How long before...

How long before even the most optimistic of rose tinted glasses wearing Boro fan says enough is enough?

I am certainly not saying 'Carrick out' but how many games do we go without winning or starting to look better? Two cup wins, 1 against 10 men and another against a league lower are clouding the fact that for 10/12 games we have just not been good enough!

How long before Carrick thinks enough is enough?

I really hope we turn it around today or sooner but something is not right at our club. Its an almost carbon copy of last season!

I think he’ll get more time than Wilder based on him not having his head turned. But their records are incredibly similar and people are already phoning in questioning Carrick. It won’t be far off.

This is a team capable of relegation, for sure.

Nobody is too good for relegation, Look at our 97 team, West Ham, Leicester even last season. I really like Carrick I am just starting to doubt that he's the second coming we all thought he was last season. He inherited a very good squad and won the dressing room. Has he already lost it but because of his demeanour we dont know? Every one can see McGree is miles above the rest but persists on benching him, its beggars belief!

No no no. Nothing to do with the coach.
We can all see what has happened. We have lost some very, very good players from last season. So far, only Dieng looks as though he is a good swap.
We have seen what Carrick can do to a team last season. He wouldnt be sacked even if we went down.

What about the end of last season & the play offs when we still had our star players? It seems like Carrick doesn’t have the ability to change tactics when things aren’t going good, same tactics every week while we get absolutely battered

You're not allowed to use last seasons results in comparisons mate, those games no longer exist and we are in another dimension now.

I have every faith in carrick but if Gibson is to make a change now is the time to do it, just before the international break.

I say keep carrick though.

The problem we have had for years is that we have such a huge turnover of players. we keep getting in lots of players who end up doing nothing.
We havent had any consistency in management, team style, squad. We buy players that managers dont want but expect them to get a tune out of them.
Wilder was and is a c0ck and I am glad he went. I cannot blame carrick for what we are seeing right now.
We seem obsessed with quantity not quality of players.

No other team in the championship has got those players we have lost…
And, they are all doing better than we are.
Some (Sunderland etc) by a huge margin

Today was even worse than Huddersfield. Seems to be no plan B from Carrick — only one way of playing and while it’s great when this system works when it doesn’t it’s a very tough watch.

Any defeat is a tough watch let's face it. The chances Latte spurned - very very frustrating. The International break comes at the right time and there has to be some soul searching from everybody connected at the Club in the next two weeks.

It’s what happens when you replace your best players with utter dross. These boys aren’t up to it’s as simple as that
You can't do anything about that now. We are stuck with this squad. Somehow we now have to get these players performing as a team - we aren't the worst squad in the league. At the moment we are playing like we are.

Everyone is blaming the players but we are trying to play the same as we did last season with more quality and it isnt working!

We havent won a league game since April! 5 clean sheets since he came in! He wont change a system what clearly isnt working, this is just us being unlucky waiting for it to click.

There is no way we should sack Carrick but he can't be the best manager in years if he cant see the blaringly obvious! Plus McGree being benched screams he's out of his depth

We got found out last season, once teams knew how to play against our system we faltered. Carrick was right place right time. He inherited a potential league winning squad from a manager who done everything he could to ruin it, openly criticising recruitment, blaming the players and everything but himself. Carrick came in and put an arm around them and we went on that amazing run when things just clicked. Times ticking and here we go again! explain to me how every manager apart from Karanka in 16 years has failed.
