How long before...

We got found out last season, once teams knew how to play against our system we faltered. Carrick was right place right time. He inherited a potential league winning squad from a manager who done everything he could to ruin it, openly criticising recruitment, blaming the players and everything but himself. Carrick came in and put an arm around them and we went on that amazing run when things just clicked. Times ticking and here we go again! explain to me how every manager apart from Karanka in 16 years has failed.
He did have us playing some really nice football though, however I am worried he's a one trick pony and doesn't have the ability to fix things a second time around. Obviously he had a big influence on Akpom but Akpom was also the catalyst for our success last season and having a layer like that is like lightning in a bottle

Everyone is blaming the players but we are trying to play the same as we did last season with more quality and it isnt working!

We havent won a league game since April! 5 clean sheets since he came in! He wont change a system what clearly isnt working, this is just us being unlucky waiting for it to click.

There is no way we should sack Carrick but he can't be the best manager in years if he cant see the blaringly obvious! Plus McGree being benched screams he's out of his depth
It’s not there fault there not good enough. Silvera is raw young but the championship is eating him and spitting him out. Rogers looks average. Engles was turned inside out every minute he’s played the reality is he has forss and Mcgree our to best players on the bench both regulars in that brilliant side last season. With jones on the right side and smith right back and the new lb we will feel familiar ish to last season and should kick on.

If he consist with rogers silvera and Engle his Jobs on the line mcgree forss smith the new left back have to start at Blackburn

At times like these I'm always reminded of when the BBC interviewed Gibbo at one of the Robson cup finals. They asked him to describe a typical Boro fan and he replied something like "Hard working, incredibly loyal.... and with a big pessimistic streak running right through them".

I avoid this place after games like yesterday's. Any stranger dropping by would swear we hate our own team and look forward to every defeat.

you're allowed to want to be better than bottom of the league

Transferring the Championship best goalscorer for not particularly a very high fee and not replacing with a like player is a kick in the teeth to supporters.
I really hope that Michael Carrick shows that spark of last season to get the best out of and inspire players .

You are. But it's about degrees. There are people on here demanding last year's saviour be sacked. People need a sense of perspective.
There will be people somewhere demanding we resurrect hitler.

Most comments I have seen on here have been fairly balanced not asking carrick to be sacked, don't think I've seen one yet?

Its because I love the club and care I get like this. It infuriates me that every season is rinse and repeat! What is the problem? who's at fault? I want Carrick to succeed so much, it was always going to be difficult to follow on from last season but surely nobody expected this? I am sorry that my glass is half empty but I really fear for the club. We knew last season there was a squad in there capable of turning it round, this year I dont know if we do.

For a start I would look at where we are after 11 games compared to last season.

Then look for signs of improvement and where we could improve.

We need a settled squad where everyone knows their role.. maybe we go back to basics?

Yeah and we had to sack the manager to change it. The only difference is, Wilder actually wanted sacking!

Did he also say Boro fans are so thick I can charge them whatever I like to watch utter dross?

Definitely agree, I’d rather Jones over Silvera and Rogers as well as at least seems to be able to run at players and beat them
Forss offers end product forss for me is underrated. He is out of position as a right winger but still puts a shift in as a cf or just behind he will score goals and offer more than rogers. Rogers for me I have seen very little to suggest he’s up to scratch atm he could be. But so far seem nothing silvera gets peters on here but he’s shown more promise than rogers. Both atm shouldn’t be starting. I am behind carrick but if forss and mcgree aren’t in the team at Blackburn I’ll Seriously worry he has lost it

Erm.. I was just saying to see where we are after 11 games.

Maybe time to bring Leo back into the fold..
Why 11 games? That’s a random number, but having said before you are an extremely random individual.

Also, why bring Leo back into the fold? He wasn’t in the fold when Carrick turned it around following his employment.
