He bossed the midfield. He always seemed to be where he needed to be. Good tackling, classy touch. I mean we made it easy for him but I didn't think much of him when he was at the boro.
Fair enough Harrison, but Steele played 131 times for us, Roberts played 19 in half a season loan, morsy played 30 in his 1 season. More than enough opportunity. Problem was style of play and manager comparability at the timeYou could probably making a really good starting 11 of players that didn't get a good opportunity with us or didn't play well enough
Jason Steel ,Patrick roberts, Morsy, Harrison any others?
He did get booked in the endCan’t say he stood out. Wouldn’t have noticed him had he not been an ex player. Did alright but wouldn’t say he bossed the game in anyway. Didn’t really need to as we were poor all over the park.
Was poor when here but was popular at Wigan and Ipswich so must have something about him.
Just didn’t work out for him here I guess. Should have been booked as usual.
Yeh good point. Wrong time wrong place sort of thing. Just pondering on it, Jason Steel is playing in the europa league, Patrick roberts looks a lot better at slumberland, albeit they are roughly the same standard we are, Harrison became amazing at Leeds but may have made the wrong decision going to everton.Fair enough Harrison, but Steele played 131 times for us, Roberts played 19 in half a season loan, morsy played 30 in his 1 season. Could have seen red for that, was very lucky. It was high and reckless.Should have been booked in first 5 minutes for horrible challenge on Rogers. Might have changed the game
That was what I thought, too. He also deliberately blocked a through ball with his arm early in the second half which, if he'd been booked for the Morgan foul, should've seen him off for a second yellow.Could have seen red for that, was very lucky. It was high and reckless.
First time he played against us last season I thought he looked good but not amazing. Since then, the snippets I've seen of him and Swansea away he looks classy, calm and strong. We really could have done with him yesterday.Nathan Wood
Must have missed that. Should have been booked in first few minutes when ploughing into Rogers. He did get booked in the end
Glad it’s not just me who depsises himTubby little fooker needs to lose 3 stone
