That would be automated, the postie doesn't send a personal message to every recipient.

I'm aware it's automated - that's still no excuse for the false claim of 'signing'. Fairly easy to give the postie a generic 'left at the address' option.

Quick update

No delivery today, despite their promise yesterday to 'deliver the next day' if I wasn't in

I expected this of course, given they're utterly useless.

Next update is that I got an email this morning saying they would deliver today between 4-6pm

Here we are just gone 5pm and I've just received the same "We tried to deliver your parcel today but you weren't in" message as before

I can't cancel get a refund and buy elsewhere cos it's "in transit"

Impossible to contact Hermes because of their zero-contact-info-round-and-round-in-circles website
