Have I got an I.T security issue?

I know it’s Xmas, and probably not the best time, but since yesterday, when I open some threads on here (on my I-pad), this is what I get..have I got some security issues? Anyone else getting the same? What do I need to do to get rid of it? I initially thought it was an advert..any IT gurus able to assist

I got that as well. I just closed it down and ignored it. As said just a pop up advert

Those Vm style popups are often because you may have malware on your device. Google for a malware removal tool / scanner and run one from a trusted / reccomended site

the only trouble with this well intentioned advice, is that if you don't know what you are doing.... googling & following random 'advice' may of course introduce more problems to your pc - isn't Windows great

It's phishing, I open my ad block for this site, I don't mind the genuine ads, but something is clearly wrong if the site host is allowing this stuff through.

The VM/TalkTalk (and other varieties) popup isn't malware, it's just a redirecting advert, and it's particularly annoying and disruptive.

It only happens on this site, and to lots of people. There was an earlier thread about it, but I believe it was deleted by admin, possibly due to the number of people complaining that the site was becoming unusable, and others giving tips on how to get around by blocking adverts.

I have a problem whereby just on the FMTTM site the ads are all in a foreign language, Polish I believe, eg fado indo beint.

Same here with the virgin one. If I click back I get an aldi advert too. However, it only appears when on my phone
