Has Kieran Scott added any value at our club?

Might help us to know if our manager stops calling buys development players and gives them a chance to play.

Who knows. Sometimes these things are long term and depends upon manager selections.

Pulis used to whine about no money while McNair was locked in a cupboard, Woodgate released him and although the bloke is not Maradona, it turned out that the player costing millions was actually ok in this league.

Meanwhile, we all enjoyed watching the Balloon D'Ors most overlooked candidate, George Savile, dominate opposition midfields every week.

He's been here over a year and things have regressed, despite fanfares.
I am really unclear why so much faith has (allegedly) been placed in him, given his unremarkable track record at Norwich.
Again pal, we don't know do we? We don't know what he did at Norwich, obviously something decent to have been offered this role. And we don't know if he's banging his head against the wall now, completely hamstrung by others above him.

And I'm just as unclear why seemingly intelligent posters on here have formed an opinion of him when they have no idea how the inner circle of recruitment at Boro works.

So, that’s potentially Warnock and Wilder who have issue with Scott.

Could Scott be the problem?
Warnock didn’t have a single transfer window under scott.

The January window we went after forwards that Wilder clearly wanted, they ended up being sh1t.

This summer who knows, could be Scott could be Bauser or Gibson could even be Wilder himself thinking he knew better or a mix of all of them to blame.

I’d love to know who decided to go for Mowett?

Its tempting to blame the recruitment team but I think it’s more likely Wilder wanting him.
What happened to all the German/Dutch players we were gonna get?!?!?

He was head of recruitment at Norwich but that's not his job here. His job is director of football. He sets the direction for the club, he hired a head of recruitment to identify players. It's his job to get deals over the line and most importantly to identify a manager that fits the business model.

It looks like from the recruitment side of things we don't have a clear strategy which is disappointing. We are signing projects who aren't getting a chance because we're also signing loan players to start and seemingly going after big money players as well. Seems very scatter gun. The hiring of a manager that won't develop players seems massively at odds with the "direction" so that's the main failure so far. Obviously failing to get several major signings over the line is also a failure as he's said that's his remit.

Is the new head of recruitment identifying players? You'd assume that's where players like Hoppe have come from and we've managed to secure those players but buying unwanted players is easy. Signing the in demand ones we don't seem to have done so well on.
