Has coventry sold out?

Not really a sellout when there are around 2,500 unsold seats.
I think you are mostly right on the segregation issue, there is to many seats in it, I don't think this is the match too narrow it, our fans and Cov have a bad rep for throwing things. Maybe going forward some type of netting could be introduced either side of the away fans to stop objects being launched hitting opposition fans.

Can't blame them for having segregation for this.

The result could knock Coventry out of the play-offs and there's bound to be bother if that happens.

Did the guy from the Burnley game get a visit from Cleveland Police?

You need hundreds of seats for segregation, not thousands.
Look at Arsenal/Spurs, Rangers/Celtic (when they allowed big away followings) etc etc.

I’m not sure how many times we have to go over the fact that it’s the internal layout that prevents the segregation being reduced further.

Have MFC stated that?
Yes, have a read of the Fan Forum minutes.

If the club are bothered about maximising the other 2-3k seats they club need to either think about putting the away fans on the north stand or swapping back to the south stand. As someone who attended right through since attendances plummeted under Strachen, I’m not sure there would be much point for the sake of a few games a season unless they were going to do any sort of major work to the stadium anyway (eg build another tier)

Maybe just reconfigure the internal layout.
It would be worth the effort if we reach the prem.
I note that last time were in the prem we managed to accommodate 32,700.

I don't think they'd ever put them in the North stand: it's probably the least accessible point of the ground for getting away fans in and out.

If I’m remembering correctly, the internal layout change might not be possible as we would need to have provision for a bigger away following for cup games.

I’m guessing the higher attendances in the prem were to do with higher away allocation and more corporate tickets.
